This is the second company I've worked for that has used Brown's Security. I actually suggested them to the new company I began working for a couple of years ago. They been great to say the least. Everyone that I've ever talked to/dealt with (customer service, call center, technicians, and owner) have been friendly, professional, and efficient. Any questions or concerns are addressed promptly. I would recommend them to anyone!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF A NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. THE BUILDER TYPICALLY USES BROWN'S SECURITY. I INTERVIEWED JAY, THE OWNER AT MY HOUSE TWICE AND WAS NOT SATISIFIED SO I THEN MET 2 OTHER COMPANIES AT MY HOUSE.... AND ENDED UP HIRING ONE OF MY OWN CREWS, SIGNING A CONTRACT AND SCHEDULING AN INSTALL DATE. LONG STORY SHORT, A FEW DAYS LATER, BROWNS SECURITY WAS IN MY HOUSE INSTALLING THEIR WIRES....I SIMPLY ASKED THE GUY TO LEAVE MY HOUSE AND THAT HE DIDNT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE THERE. I IMMEDIATLEY CALLED JAY TO ASK WHY HE WOULD HAVE A GUY INSTALLING WIRES/CABLES AT MY NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I THOUGHT THIS WAS HANDLED AND THEY TOOK RESPONSIBILITY, BUT I WAS WAAAAAAAY WRONG. WEEKS LATER, THE COMPANY I HIRED STARTED THE PROJECT....THEY HAD TO TEAR OUT EVERYTHING THAT WAS DONE (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION BY BROWNS) BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH HORRIBLE WORK. THEN LAST WEEK I GET THREATS THAT THEY WERE ABOUT TO PUT A LEIN BECAUSE I DIDNT PAY
Purchased original system for home, installed myself. went OK
Upgrade recently due to room expansions, added smoke detectors. Brown's sold me two additional units, which were in correct. I installed one not knowing it was wrong seemed to be operating. When installing second, after finishing out new bedroom, I couldn't get the unit to work. Called to get help, found out I was sold the wrong unit. Company wouldn't take first unit back but would swap on second. After complaining, they have not even called back.
Don't buy from them. Found units on interenet for almost half the cost as well.
