Andrea Gondocs treated me in the 1990's for unipolar depression, with which I was having quite a bit of anxiety. She spent the appointment trying to steer clear of any discussion of an anxiolytic, even attempting to rush me out the door twenty minutes before the end of my appointment. When I again asked about my anxiety, she literally slammed her office door, rudely ordered me to sit back down, and lambasted me for asking about a prescription. Needless to say, I was infuriated—seeking help week after week for an illness is difficult enough, particularly when you're a man. The last thing you need is the unprofessional ranting of an inexperienced psychiatrist when you're desperately trying to resolve a health issue.

Had I been older and wiser, I would have taken the matter to the administrators at North Mississippi Health Services for disciplinary action. No patient should have to suffer an openly hostile physician, period. I understand she has moved her practice to 200 North Spring Street, and hopefully is no longer associated with North Mississippi Health Services. Her attitude towards patients is patently unacceptable, and her lack of professionalism makes her unfit to be a physician.
