I won't be taking the advice of Steve the Safeway employee, who suggested I return during daytime hours to resolve my (previous to blatant rudeness) minor problem. Steve came up with this "solution" after discussing the situation with someone I can only assume was an authority. Both parties talked amongst themselves like I wasn't even there while Steve rang up a customer. I'm a manager for a retailer. I had literally driven 50 miles from work to still be 20 minutes from my house when I came to this Safeway because of it's convienient location. The location was the ONLY convienient thing about the whole experience. Not only did I walk out of there feeling dissatisfied, but insulted as well. What kind of company hires people who's idea of explaining store policy is flippant at best. "Yeah, you could go find the receipt and then come in and I clould during regular hours totally to the daytime manager and they might be able to help you." Thanks for the great advice, Steve! I'll go all the way home to dig through any place that receipt may be at and then come back here for another taste of outstanding customer service. .....Or not. Customers want to spend where they get what they wanted and good service, not where employees are snippy and sarcastic. I'll probably end up giving the razors to my sister. I would have been happy with any solution at all, but lame excuses and changing store policies dependant on the hour is nothing short of rude. No thanks on shopping there again.
