WARNING!! BRUCE WEBER’S IS NOT BRUCE WEBER’S ANYMORE!!!Over 14 years ago, I went to Bruce Weber’s Jewelry and purchased a $32,000 white gold Cartier watch with diamonds for my mother, which several years ago had been appraised at $60,000. This watch is battery operated and is water-proof, so whenever the battery dies, it is over $400 to have Bruce Weber send the watch to Cartier, take out the seals, replace the battery, and reseal the back of the watch. It was over a month after I brought the watch to them this last time that I received a call stating that the estimate for battery replacement was over $500. With inflation, I found that believable. A few days later, I received a call from Bruce Weber stating that the watchband was broken and needed to be replaced for $11,000. This watch was in perfect condition when I brought it to Bruce Weber’s. My mother only wore this expensive watch on special occasions and kept it in its original container in between uses. Wanting a second opinion, I instructed Bruce Weber’s to just send the watch back. When I went to their store to pick up the watch, the clerk handed me the watch and quickly threw away the invoice, stating that I didn’t need it since I didn’t have any work done. That left me feeling uneasy. Taking the watch to a reputable jeweler confirmed my suspicion—one of the screws that held the watch backing in place was stripped, showing that whoever tried to remove the backing did not even have the correct tools (obviously NOT Cartier). That is when I found out the truth—BRUCE WEBER’S IS NOT BRUCE WEBER’S ANYMORE!! Mr. Bruce Weber retired 5-6 years ago, and contractually agreed to let the new owners use his reputable name on the store- (obviously) shoddy service. They are doing so poorly that they are now trying to sell the place. It is my belief that they tried to do the work on my mother’s watch themselves, with incorrect tools, and caused a lot of damage in the Beware of this place!!!
Recommended to my daughter, but decided to check them out, first. I sold them some "scrap", got ripped off. If they will cheat you, buying, they will cheat you selling. One of the owners ripped me off. They'll rip you off, too.
Have been dealing with this one for over 10 years. They instantly know me & my service dog by name when we walk in.
I spoke to the owner on the phone about a sale. Once I was in the store he directed to me the manager. A lady in her early 40s. She was the absolute rudest manager I've ever met. From the moment she first spoke her tone was very rough. She seemed upset to be at work and be working.... the owner stated the price percentage of my sale on phone and in store again and the manager continued to argue with him to give me a much lower price. She said her reasons why. Sure. But the owner I assume should have first and final say. Needless to say I left. She seemed to have no issue arguing with the owner (for a few min I must say) to make sure I was not going to get the deal I came to his store for. Her tone was what made it worse. I felt like he was her young child who had just lost my lunch money and was being scolded in very upset tone. Not happy at all with her managing skills.
I went in to purchase a few pieces of jewelry. First, I noticed that the prices almost doubled. Then, I picked out a piece of jewelry that was marked $5. The cashier stated "sorry it was marked wrong." She would not even honor the price. They had 4 of the exact same marked at $5. Don't go here. I dripped everything and walked out. I hope they go under.
Your eyes, your sense of touch, sense of feel, your own sense of creativity will come to life in this store and you won't want to leave. So much fun and wanted to buy for all my friends. You will have to visit in person to get the total experience and the staff is super friendly, knowledgable and helpful.
I had a designer engagement ring, but needed the wedding band for it, which the designer never made. I've looked for many years for something to go with it, but with no luck. We went to James, showed him what we wanted and he matched it perfectly! I mean, it couldn't have been better if the original designer did it! I told him exactly what I wanted it to look like, and he made it better, plus if fit like a glove! He was also made it very quickly, despite having a broken arm! I love my new ring and would recommend him to any of my friends.
Don't judge a book by its cover just lost a huge sale young man ! 02062015
Beware! I ordered jewelry from this business at the end of August, 2014. It is now the end of November, and I have not received my merchandise even though my checking account was debited with over $200 on September 2. Customer service is totally non-responsive. They have my money but will not give me a refund or the merchandise I have ALREADY PAID FOR. Extremely disappointed as I ordered because of a recommendation from a Christian blogger. And I am very upset at the lack of response. Terrible business practices.
Wonderful service on replacing watch batteries ! Trusted & respected business.
