About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Danny's Differentials & Drive Train Service

Took my vehicle to have some driveline noises worked out, and the transfer case rebuilt. Left it for almost a month and paid over $1800. When I went to pick it up the noises were still there. I left it with the shop for another couple weeks and paid more money to have a new driveshaft built. Went to pick it up the second time and the noises were somewhat better, but still not what I would expect after paying over $2000. Was never confident that the job was done right. Found that the transfer case was leaking from the drain plug and had to seal it myself. Less than a year, and 1500 miles later the transfer case is making noises. I won't be going back here, and would recommend that you try to find somewhere different.

App wouldn't let me leave no stars! Totally bizarre experience. Took vehicle there on Thursday afternoon. Josh drove with me and said differential was shot. Noise was absolutely differential he said. Couldn't get part till Monday. Said he'd tear it apart and by time part arrived by 9 or 10 he'd be ready to install and all told would take about 5 hours. I was there at 8:05. I left at a bit after 10 and no one had shown up! Another guy also waiting told me they'd had his car for 3 weeks after promising it would be ready in 3 days. Josh had told me his dad worked on vehicles. A friend said his dad was no longer working there?! I'm writing this Wednesday night. Still waiting for call that part is in. LOL. Blessing in disguise. I took vehicle elsewhere and they said there was nothing wrong with differential.

In early July, I obtained a ...

In early July, I obtained a quote from Danny's Differentials to repair the transmission on my 1989 Ford F-150 pickup. The quote was too high ($1995.00), so I declined; however, Danny called me back and came DOWN $600 from the original quote (to $1395.00). It was a better deal; but, I still didn't have enough money to get it done at that time. So, Danny told me I could pay 1/2 now, and pay the other 1/2 later! I accepted his offer and had my truck towed to his shop, on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011.About a week later, on July 12, 2011, I received a phone call advising me that it was going to cost an ADDITIONAL $250, due to a frozen input shaft! I felt I had to agree, because they already had my transmission taken apart. I gave them a $700.00 check! On July 22, 2011 (over two weeks later!), they called to say my truck was ready, but I needed to pay the BALANCE in order to get my truck!I reminded Danny that he had told me I could pay 1/2 at the time, and pay the other 1/2 later.....he LAUGHED at me and said, "THIS is later!"(Fortunately, I had enough money in the bank to pay the balance then). The original quote of $1995 was reduced to $1395; then, they added another $250, so the total amount should have been $1645.Since I'd already paid $700, the balance should have been $945.Danny CLAIMED the original amount was $1400 instead of $1395.(I still have a copy of the original note I'd written when he quoted it!)Anyway, in order to get my truck back, I paid the $950.On the way home, I noticed my speedometer was not working!I called Danny's to notify them.At first, an employee told me to bring it back in and they'd check it. Then he told me that "Danny said" he'd noticed it wasn't working when he test drove the truck. I insisted it had been working when they got it!They had me bring it back in the next week to check it out; Danny told me (at that time) that he REMEMBERED the "speedometer adapter" falling out when he worked on it! He promised to order the part and call me when it came in. Over the next several weeks, I kept checking back to see whether the part had come in; but, Danny told me there were only TWO of those parts "in the entire country"! (Can you say "WHAT?")That was in JULY, and we are NOW in OCTOBER........and I'm STILL waiting on him to get the part!!!Not only do I feel RIPPED OFF, I feel that I was LIED to, several times! So, would I recommend Danny's Differentials??? I DON'T THINK SO!!!
