Virginia College exploits the poor. They overcharge for "degrees/diplomas" that you can receive by doing on the job training. Only exception is Cosmetology. Those that work there are racist, but not against whites; against blacks. Which is sad because it is because of the poor blacks that they are able to have jobs. Credits don't transfer. I wouldn't even send my dog there for obedience training.

I recently tried to book a appointment with a certain student to get my hair done. This student does a wonderful job and has been my hair stylist since she has started there. I made this appointment a week and a half in advance and was looking forward to it. My husband leaves for a deployment the day after and we were going out to dinner that night to celebrate his birthday. So naturally I was extremely excited and was going to have great looking hair since I was going to get it done that day. Mind you this is my only day off every week. So I wake up at 8:30 and set off on my 25 minute drive to get my hair done by my favorite student. When I get there they told me my hair stylist couldn't take me. They gave me no explanation at all. The whole time the hair stylist I wanted was standing next to me, just as baffled as I was. I then ask the principal why she didn't call me or let my stylist know she couldn't take me a few days ago instead of right when I pulled up. The lady then preceded to be very rude to me and just said she couldn't get ahold of me. Which is blantly not true. Well I just want to say thank you for trying to reuin my only day off and my last special night with my husband. All I can say is I can't wait till that certain student graduates and leaves your school. So I don't have to deal with you guys anymore. I have never been treated so poorly at a hair salon before.
worst school, please do not waist your time or money, every thing is old no updates made at all,if you have questions they do not return phone calls.all they care about is getting your money, this school needs to be investigated,
I use to go there about 2002-2004. It's still that today even.
Like most people, I was hesitant to try out a beauty school vs a licensed beautician. However, that outlook has changed 100%. I, myself, have ethnic hair plus a mixture of native hair, therefore it is quite a challenge. Every student who has did my hair has done 10x as good as other beauticians & I proudly come back every 2 weeks. I recommend this beauty college over any other beauty college in TULSA period. These students have the passion & are well taught. Be smart, save money & give these students a try they deserve it! Plus making an appointment is always easy.
It is a very nasty school, low student moral and no excitement in learning. No updated teaching system. This school is one of the worst I have ever been to............
If I could rate Clary sage Beauty college with negative stars I would! I have never, in my entire life, received such horrible service at a business of any kind. Not only were the hair services terrible but the customer service given by the staff at the counter was the worst I've ever received anywhere. The "man" I spoke to was so arrogant and condescending that I literally asked if I was on a hidden camera show! I will most certainly be calling the BBB and the over all person in charge herself. I am astonished that my first visit here was so bad! I almost vomited I was so disgusted with these people, about 6 of them ganged up on my 60 yeah old mom as I. Ken, or Kent something and Beverly are the names I remember right now.
From what I have heard about the Virginia College in Tulsa, OK is that it is a very racist toward whites and is very unprofessional and make up their own rules as they go. I would not reccommend anyone to work there or attend this school unless you want to get screwed over.
Very, very disappointed in this school. My daughter went there to get her hair changed from medium brown to blonde on top phased into dark brown on bottom. While the bottom turned out good, the top is YELLOW/ORANGE. I understand that this can happen sometimes when going back to blonde but what I am disappointed in is the way she was treated after. She was charged $90 the day of the service. I called the salon the next day, explained to them that her hair was a yellow/orange color and was told as long as she came back within a week, they would fix it. So we made an appt for 3 days later. She went in, they looked at it and said they would not put any more bleach on it because it would damage it and told her they could do a conditioning treatment and then come back in 4 weeks and they would try to fix it (4 weeks later, they would have to charge again to fix it). She called me very upset, I told her to let them put the conditioner in and then we would just have to go to another salon to get it fixed. So they did and when she got up to leave, they told her she owed another $19 for the conditioner!!! She refused to pay it and told them that she would not be back. Now we have to pay someone to fix their mistake and that will be very costly. My daughter is a Sr in high school and is taking her Sr pictures next week so you can imagine how devasted she is. My problem was not with the initial mistake, it was that they did not want to fix it without continually charging more money. I hate to think that they are teaching their students that this is the way to treat clients because they will not have any clients if they continue to treat people in this manner.
I heard this school was the best in Oklahoma so I decided to go there. The first day I was very unimpressed. The teacher didn't even know how to use the bruise makeup wheel correctly. To me and my classmates we've decided that the makeup artistry program there is a joke and no one cares about the students in that program. We get makeup that I've never heard of and the mannequin heads that we use are all ratted and nasty. This school is mainly focused on the cosmetology program. If you don't know a thing about makeup go ahead and go here but if you are actually wanting to go far in your career, chose a different school. Very upset that I wasted my money.
