I'm with the other reviewers. I recently retired from the military and moved from a house managed by the company. They practically stole 80% of our deposit when we moved. They charged us on items that we put in our move-in checklist and even when we used a company that they recommended to clean the carpets. It was a horrible experience that I never want to go through again. One occasion, our AC wasn't working during the summer heat. We just brought our newborn from the hospital and couldn't go inside. It wasn't until I threatened to have to go to a hotel that they sent someone out. Still took an hour for the guy to get there. Bad business. Stay away and don't rent or let them manage your property.
locally owned and operated with great rates
I DO NOT recommend renting a house from Rincon Ventures. If you do, don't plan on getting any of your security deposit back. I'd hate to think what we'd have been charged had we actually damaged anything. We were charged $300 to touch-up the walls near door handles where our "body oils" got them "dirty." When I inquired about this charge, I was told, and I quote: "$300.00 is lower than most invoices we receive." In full disclosure, we were also charged $175 for cleaning (we are clean, young professionals and left it as clean as we would have expected any house to be at move-in) and $140 for carpet cleaning (carpets had been cleaned, but "were not re-fluffed properly"). If you're good tenants who pay on time, are friendly, and leave a house with no damage, human landlords tend to respect that and usually will take care of what Arizona considers "ordinary wear and tear" on move-out. Not Rincon Ventures. They are a business looking to make money any way they can. Period.
Do not call this company. They are horrible. I am relocating to the Tucson area from Phoenix for my job and I came across this company. After finally getting in touch with a rep, I spoke to Steve. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and not customer services orientated at all. It felt like I was dealing with a very pushy car salesman. I explained to him what I was doing and he completely ignored what I said to him and continued on with his very bad sales pitch. I would try to talk to him and he would interrupt my as if I was working for him. Very sternly he told me they are a relocating service and charge a fee to find me a home. First, why would I pay someone to do a search exactly like I can do on my computer. Second, when I call someone regarding viewing a property I want them to listen to my needs, not tell me what THEY think I should have. I told Steve I was not from this area. He asked me what town I'm looking at. I told him Marana. He immediately, very quickly started naming off properties and their addresses. Is he dumb?? I just told him I'm not from the area so that information he was telling me was completely not understood. Then I told him I don't appreciate his demeanor and attitude and thanked him for his time and I told him I would contact someone who would work WITH me. Stay away from this company. They advertise all over Craigslist and have signs out. I will be avoiding a home that has this company's sign in the yard and I would encourage you to do the same. Word of mouth spreads quickly. I will be sure to spread to everyone I know.
