After doing business with these guys for over 30 years, I finally got ripped off good. The guy weighing and making tickets apparently was more interested in where to put and how fast to make the material disappear from around the scale, than in serving the customer. Does he not understand that people bring their scrap in so that they can make money? He and the other guy helping him were not discussing with the customer, at all, what they were classifying each bucket of scrap and how much they were going to pay, before the material was emptied somewhere??? These guys did not know what they were doing and were moving so fast that we did not see where they were putting our stuff, or how much any of it weighed. We were helping unload our truck and by the time we got back to the scale, the scrap would be gone. About 2 minutes down the road, after being paid, we realized how we were ripped off, by them not weighing everything we brought, as well as incorrectly classifying some of the scrap. We had a few years worth of scrap, back breaking work, in those (10-12) 5 gallon buckets. Instead of getting top dollar for our aluminum, many buckets! too, they paid us at dirty aluminum prices of $.15. The material disappeared, so fast, no way to prove what we had. We were able to get a few errors corrected, after going back there, but are really pretty pissed about how this whole experience went. That guy needs fired!
They have the best prices 98% of the time! And there rewards card gets you some extra cash after 10 trips to the yard!
I just wanted to tell every one that is looking for a scrap yard that this is by far the only place you need to look at. I have been to some of the other scrap yard here in town but after hearing that they were shorting me I decided to check out American Metal Recycling. When I pulled up they greeted me right away and Erick explained to me the different types of metal I had. I thought I just had all steel and he said you have some Aluminum and steel and a few other things. I thought that maybe I'd have around 30 dollars but oh boy I was wrong. Erick explained the differences of the metals so I knew what I was getting. Before I knew absolutely nothing and the guys at the other places I went to were no help and always took advantage of me. After Erick and Albert were done weighing everything out I went inside to get cashed out. I gave the lady at the counter my I.D. and had a nice little conversation with her. She got my money, counted it out to me and I went on my way never expecting to have left with 192 dollars. WOW WOW WOW I am still impressed. Thank you American Metal Recycling and special thanks to Erick, Albert and the lady in the office. Keep up the hard work and Keep doing an AMAZING job. I will be back there very soon!!!!!

The employees here were so helpful. I called around to several places first and American Metal Recycling offered me the most money for my sons old car. The process was super easy and efficient. I was in and out-quick turnaround with cash in my pocket! Great place! Great people! I'll definitely go back here!
I used AMR for a business project, but I had some personal "stuff" that I needed to clear off my property, so I took them some of it last Saturday. Bottom line- THESE GUYS ARE GIVING ME GREAT MONEY! . I didnt know what I had until they told me. Dare I say honest? And, they were on my property this Monday morning with their trucks and money in hand! Im laughing all the way to the bank!
