I took both my parents there for their cataract surgeries. They each had their first eye done, the easiest ones first to regain some of their vision. Then my mom had surgery in her 2nd eye which had really bad cataracts in that eye. The surgery was very painful. When she went back in to have stitches removed they refused because they were embedded.?! Not to mention the never ending co-pays after surgery or staff scheduling with the wrong dr and still having to pay. Parents are on limited income. My dad has glaucoma and he had already lost vision in his other eye and after they sold him glasses for over $300 his vision in the "good" eye took a severe turn for the worse. Sent him to another specialist who questioned why they did surgery before verifying which type of glaucoma he had. Apparently he has the one that if you do cataract surgery it sets off the glaucoma. So I'm now watching my mom in pain due to stitches and afraid to have it corrected by another dr and my dad who is quickly losing all of his vision

Extensive knowledge. Focus on patient needs during appointment. Takes time to discuss options with patient. Looks at the big picture and comes prepared to address your specific health issue. Thorough testing. Friendly office. Good sense of humor and bedside manner. A real doctor!
Seems very competent and knowledgeable. Now if she would spend more than 4 minutes with a patient, explain what shes doing and why instead of rushing to see how many patients ($$$) she can get through in a day. Id give her 5 stars. ( it is a , "get in line, take a number, next please, now move along atmosphere:), I give her 5 stars for competence. But her attitude gets her a 1.
Inserted shunt tube which I specifically refused in office visit in favor of the classical trabeculectomy. Initial consent for procedure did not mention a shunt. Asked to sign a second consent immediately before surgery in dim room. Couldn't see the details of consent with my diminished vision and didn't see that he had added the shunt to the consent this time. Was extremely dissatisfied that a foreign body with its possible complications was placed in my eye against my wishes.
My appointment as SWEye was very good. Everyone there was very helpful and they answered all my questions. They all knew their jobs and told me what was gonna happen and explained everything. I’m going back there for more exams.
