strongly recommend NOT MOVING HERE

Apartment manager is extremely rude, 48 hour notices are only given 24hrs in advance. Manager will lie and say notice was placed on door but no notice was left at all. Takes months for any repairs to be made. All this complex cares about is getting paid on the 1st of the month. Vehicle are constantly getting vandalized and windows being shattered and the office refuses to do any thing about it. NOT TO MENTION THESE APARTMENTS ARE infested with cockroaches

My advice: Find someplace else

I strongly advise against moving in here. The management changes every few months and they can't keep anything strait. Maintenance orders have to be checked on daily if you expect them to get done. Sometimes rent they mess up your rent and charge for late fees. The office hours are completely bogus. They take better care of their empty units than they do their tenants. But, hey! At least you have a yard!

This property is an utter nightmare! Border line SLUMLORDS run this place. They do not fix anything...EVER! The swamp coolers DO NOT WORK. If they seem in working order when you visit, it won't be long before it is miserable in your home. There is at least 15 coats of paint on EVERYTHING! The cabinets and doors stick shut and cause damage that they will charge you for. My breaker flips daily due to the wiring not being up to code. The manager, Maggie, has an attitude and never remembers anything she said to you...maybe because she constantly LIES! She knocks on your door after hours to present you with notices and violations. The assistant, Sarah, is not any better. She pushes everything off onto Maggie and never addresses any issues. The head maintenance man, Ray, is a lazy, surfer, hippie, pot head who drives around on his cart peeping into peoples back yards all day while work orders go left unattended and piling up. If you open your blinds, he will peep in there too! After multiple trips to the office inquiring as to when your repairs might be addressed, Ray will finally make an appearance only to tell you that everything is working just as it is supposed to. They will serve you with violations for addendums you have never seen, much less signed. They will tell you you can't have aggressive breeds, yet every other apartment you pass will have at least one Pit-Bull. If you have allergies or asthma....Keep it moving!!! YOU WILL SUFFER HERE!! They are proud to accept pets, but do not properly maintain their units to keep it safe for future tenants. They use the cheapest cleaning and carpet cleaning companies they can find. The carpets are soaked with pet urine and covered in pet fur and dander. The carpets are not cleaned properly and sometimes not cleaned at all and rarely replaced if ever. The air ducts and vents are not cleaned or maintained. They are full of previous owners pet fur, dirt, rust and possibly even mold!! There is mold in the bathrooms and a large percentage of the units have severe leaks associated with the VERY OLD swamp units they continue to patch with duct tape and caulk. Several units have swamp cooler caving into the units through the roof.



Oh! And BED BUGS?!? I have had them 3 times since I have been here 2 years! The first time, they were in the apartment when I moved in. The second time, a year later, I contracted them due to a severe infestation in the neighboring apartment when they tried to tell me I was going to have to pay for treatment. The third time was because they NEVER FULLY TREATED the neighboring apartment, even though it was vacant because the previous tenants bailed. My neighbor on the other side of me had them. 3 other units (in addition to the 3 I already commented on) in MY COURTYARD have had them. There are at least 9 courtyards! I'm only speaking on the apartments I know about. I have heard of many others having the same problems. Bed bugs are no joke and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and DIFFICULT to get rid of. But that's why they have you sign an addendum stating YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TREATMENT OF BED BUGS, but they will cover all other pest control.



They will sell you on the amenities, but trust me, it might as well be the ----- telling you that if you come to hell he will give you an ice chest full of ice. Once the ice melts...YOU'RE SCREWED!! STAY AWAY!!

Great place to live, and large dog freindly!

We enjoy it here, large townhomes and fenced in back yards. Pet freindly is the reason why we took the townhome as our dogs are over 75 pounds. Other places only took small dogs.

Beautiful Townhomes, Great Staff!

My family and I moved in a month ago and really love it here! My rent is a reasonable price for everything they have to offer, including all utilities included, our washer and dryer, free fitness club passes and now we have a brand new swimming pool! We had to rent sight unseen we moved from Oregon and we were really sceptical renting our home without really seeing it first. But the staff Mary & Brittany were so wonderfull, understanding & caring, we were eager to move in and felt comfortable during the whole move process. If you are moving weither from out of state or in state. I would highly recomend Sherwood.
