There was a roach...

On Thursday February 22, 2013, we decided to try out mandarin buffet, since we barely moved to this part of town. We served our first plate and it was ok but on the second round my husband got sushi and as he was about to eat it, there was a roach on his food!!!!!!!! Disgusting!!! I didn't wanna a big scene bc many people were there for lunch so we called the manager!! And he squished the roach I front of us and did not even apologize about it!!!!!!! I told the manager we don't wanna eat there anymore and just left the restaurant!! I do not recommend eating here!! They must be infested with lots of roaches!!!!

If I could give less than a on...

If I could give less than a one star rating, I would. We took a day trip to Tucson from Phoenix and we had our hearts set on Chinese Food for dinner. We found Mandarin Buffet on our phone and it had no reviews and no stars, we can see why now. Here are/were our issues: (1) I called ahead to see how much the buffet was. I was told it was $9.95 plus tax. They failed to tell us that the drinks were not included, even after we arrived and were seated, they did not tell us that drinks were $2 per person (you pay AFTER you eat, not before like most buffets). (2) With 7 major food stations you would think there would be hot and fresh food. No, all of the food was ICE cold. The only thing that was warm was the sweet and sour sauce. (3) As soon as we found out our food was cold, my husband went up to the cashier/manager(?) to let him know the issue. The cashier/manager(?) said that he would have the heaters turned up on the food so they would get warm. We waited about 10 minutes - the food was still cold and never got warm so we decided to leave. When we went to pay, the cashier/manager(?) tried to give us a $3.00 discount. Make a long story short, he ended up giving us a $6 discount. To show good customer service, especially since we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, discounting or comping an entire meal (my husband did not eat anything) would have been more appropriate. This place was nasty and we would have been better off going somewhere else. Never would I recommend this place. Save your money!

Don't waste your time or money...

Don't waste your time or money. The food that should have been hot was cold. The prepackaged fortune cookies were the best part of the dinner.

This place is great! The food...

This place is great! The food is excellent- all of it is delicious. Staff is friendly and price is very reasonable. Go there!!
