Ive ordered the beefeater before, and its very good, however recently went with the family, the wife ordered a pastrami/corned-beef sandwich that supposedly came with mustard. I told the girl to make sure the meat was""lean"" cuz the wife hates fatty pastrami, but the girl misunderstood and made it a ""slim"" sandwich, which means half the meat...no prob, except the meat was horribly fatty, whole pieces inedible, cut too thick and cut with the grain making it tough; also, no mustard. There was one slice of meat that was almost pure fat, a tiny stripe of corned beef thru it, so nasty no one in their right mind would put it in their mouth, except maybe a 90 year old gramma from the old country who enjoys blood-tongue sausage and headcheese. I have worked in a deli before, and know how to properly slice meats, if someone orders ""lean"" meat, you can slice it off the lean part of the brisket. there is a fatty piece of corned beef attached with fat to the lean brisket part, if you leave it attached when u slice it, that part is angled different than the brisket and it slices with the grain rather than against, making it tough. The manager refunded our money for this sandwich. The kids turkey was good, although some of it appeared to be bits and pieces, like the pile that gathers under the slicer blade, similar to the saw dust under a saw. Kid had ordered with honey mustard; no mustard again. My sandwich was also ordered ""lean"" with 1/2 pastrami 1/2 corned-beef. Apparently the girl thought I wanted an ""extra"" portion of meat, rather than the half and half i ordered, but unlike the wifes sandwich, when I ordered mine lean they doubled the size!. Also, it was very fatty, with thick inedible pieces mixed in with other pieces. The manager explained that they slice all the meat up ahead of time, and then ""mix it all up in a bowl"" to evenly distribute the fattier meat with the leaner. UNREAL! , 25 years in the biz and I have never heard of this practice, meat can easily be sliced to order if someone wants a leaner cut, and maybe some sliced ahead of large rushes, but the mass slicing and mixing of the meat produces a dry tough fatty low quality product. I have actually seen hot corned beef and pastrami sliced fresh and hot right out of the steam table, onto fresh bread, and served..no pre-sliced meat, no microwaves to heat the meat...thats quality. But not here, overall a bad experience for the money, if u like beef, order the beefeater, but if u like good CB/PAST, dont order it unless u love lots of tough presliced fat.

Normally, I don't care if someone honestly tells me that I don't qualify or I am over qualified for a job. This place didn't even give me an application WTF!, read the details below:
I arrived promptly at 1:30pm on August 17th, 2009 with my resume, and asked someone re-filling ice where to wait for interviews, she pointed me out to manager, Michael Frasier. I walked up to him and asked him the same question. He replied, “ Not the right person to talk to for that”. I then proceeded to go the front register to ask someone the same question. A man was handed an application just before me, so I figured I should fill one out too. The female employee handing them out, told me “You look like you annoyed the manager, so you should probably just go home”. She did not give me an application and turned away to give another person an application.
I have never been more offended in my life, and can not believe this is how you handle business ethics. I informed the restaurant I would write this letter, and will tell others of this occurrence and boycott your restaurant, until I receive a formal apology.

Caught out all day without a lunch, I was starving so I thought I'd finally stop in and get a deli sandwich because I had won a $5 gift card a while ago. I was looking forward to this because I had heard about the quality ingredients they use and lots of them are organic, which is great.
First thing I did was use the rest room and notice how disgustingly dirty and messy it was. I used it right behind an employee who obviously didn't care that it was a dump and probably was the one who got the floor and everywhere surrounding the sink dripping wet.
I ordered a roasted turkey sandwich on whole wheat with grainy mustard, organic spinach and italian peppers. Checking out took quite a while, even at 2:20pm with an empty store. The guy at the register obviously didn't know how and it took a while. I asked for salt in a little packet and I was told to go to the front counter and ask the girl there. After being ignored for a few minutes I just left and hoped the sandwich was well seasoned. I got back to my office to eat and was very disappointed to find that the mustard had been left off. Let me tell you, that was some dry-ass sandwich and I didn't even have a salt packet to help it out. Luckily, I had water, otherwise I never would have been able to choke it down. The turkey was good quality and the spinach was fresh, bagged spinach. The peppers were good but sparse. It was hastily and messily thrown together and kept falling apart while I was eating it. The turkey was piled up in the middle of the sandwich and before eating the second half, I paused to redistribute the turkey, spinach and peppers, pretty much re-making it.
The quality of ingredients is the only reason I gave this restaurant any stars at all.
Needless to say, first and last visit to Jason's for me. Next time I'll stop at the grocery store, make it myself and have enough left over for lunch for the entire week. It'll be faster, cost a lot less and be made the way I want it.

I love Jason's because they have a large menu with filling items and they're not overpriced. Its great for your lunch break because everything is made fresh to order and they bring out your food to you. They also have a large salad buffet and free soft serve ice cream.

Oh my Gosh!!! I haven't had a such a great sandwich since I moved here from Napa Valley. As far as Tucson goes, restaurants are stingy with their meat portions, but not Jason's. There Pastrami/corned beef sandwhich is the best I have ever had. Do not go to Subway or Eegees anymore for sandwiches. For less dinero and 3 times more meat, Jason's is your deli. Thanks guys.

The girls where I work seem to enjoy the food and order take out frequently. So, when I decided to order also, I thought it would be really good stuff. I ordered the fiesta mexicana lite potato......what I got was screwed. I paid $7 for a giant potato with a piece of chicken on it and maybe a tablespoon of sour cream. Not only did they get my order wrong, but how does anyone eat a potato the size of a puppy with that much sour cream? I wouldnt order out again, but I might try something else in the restaurant. If you order take out from here, do yourself a favor and check to make sure its right.

The sandwiches are huge! The sandwich meat is tasty and melts in your mouth! The baked potatoes are delicious and my absolute favorite! Lunchtime is very busy, place an order to go if you don't want to stake out a table. I enjoy Jason's every chance I get. The salad bar is satisfying and the free ice cream is a happy suprise at the end of your filling meal. You definitely get what you pay for!
