The food was dry and cold; In fact, the meat on the burger my wife ordered was actually raw! I asked our waitress to speak with the manager who was rude and inconsiderate to the situation, assuring me the burger was not raw but cooked thoroughly. However, I could visiably see the pink meat and bloody juices dripping from the burger. SOMEONE CALL THE HEALTH INSPECTOR -I will never eat here again!
If you like smoked pork and tender meat, this is the place.
Good service when you finally get seated. The place is
so good every one wants to go. While you wait to be seated
you get to make friends and drink great Margaritas! This place
is very casual and the waitresses and waiters are all famous.
I have taken several guest to this place and they did not have
a good attitude until they ate. The meat just melts in your
mouth and you get to choose from several BBQ sauces, hot
,fire hot, sweet and sassy. ect.... the fries are big cut wedges
and the corn on the cob is nice and buttery, the chicken falls off
the bone and is very flavorful. You will not forget this spot here
in Tucson... you will want to skip the Mexican restaurants for

Looking for good barbeque landed us at Dave's on 1/16/08. Clean place, very small bar, limited tap beer but large bottle selection.
But the food......fall apart brisket, great ribs, chicken moist and tender. The beans? To die for! The slaw, ABFAB! Even the corn on the cob ( which is far from fresh) was good. The fries were very different in cut, texture and cooking method, but very good, too.
An appetizer of onion strings was too much for 2 people, but they were great also.
We've FINALLY found the closest thing to real bbq in the Tuscon area!

The wait was long, as is typical in most restaurants in Tucson. The food was not worth waiting for and the staff were slow to take an order and deliver the order. I would have ordered my ribs without sauce if I would have known what it tastes like.
Bear in mind I hail from the Kansas City Metro area where Aurthur Bryant's BBQ reins supreme therefore I am very spoiled when it comes to the very best in BBQ!

Coming from BBQ country, I was surprised to find this chain BBQ restaurant at the top of my list. The Texas Beef Brisket is some of the best I've ever tasted, and the option of choosing from several different BBQ sauces make it even better. From friendly servers to fast service, Dave's has it all. Don't forget the fresh baked bread pudding for dessert... just like down-home!
