Overall

As I write this review I am so disappointed with what would have been a great review. This weekend, My daughter and I both had our long hair cut and highlighted. Her hair turned out fantastic. We each had different stylists. My hair cut was great but as soon as I got into the daylight I could tell my color was not right. I didn't want to say anything in the chair because I thought maybe the lighting was just bad. But in the car I could see that my roots were still so very noticeable and the entire reason I was having my hair colored was to hide my dark roots. My daughter told me to just get some opinions from my friends before I asked to have it re-done...mostly because we hated to complain. On Monday, when I returned to work, my co-workers were shocked when I told them I had just come from having my hair done over the weekend. They all agreed that my hair looked like it hadn't been touched in over 8 weeks. (good friends are honest!) So, at their urgency, I called up the salon and asked to have the roots highlighted more. The receptionist told me they would be happy to do so and my stylist could see me on Thursday! I work week days and needed a late afternoon appointment but my stylist had none available for over 10 days and she had no Saturday appointment available. I kinda thought she would have tried a little harder to squeeze me in...but Again, I still wasn't having any problems, as this is not uncommon in a busy salon. I asked to have another stylist do my hair sooner since I had a wedding this weekend, which is why we were having our hair done it the first place. The receptionist told me that if someone else does my hair, it is considered another full service charge! Now, this caught me off guard. I told her politely that I really would prefer to have my hair done sooner and by someone else...like the gal who did my daughters hair and I was immediately and rudely shot down by the person on the phone. I figured, at this point, the owner needed to be spoken with since I had been chatting with him the entire time my hair was being done. I thought, at the very least the owner would agree to re-touch my hair when he realized I was the one he had been chatting with about the cost of unhappy clients...we both have experience as local business owners here in Tucson. The person on the phone told me that SHE was the manager and that I could deal with her. I know the owner is a male and I once again asked her if I could simply speak with him please. She said he was in the salon but could not be disturbed. I then asked if I could schedule to have the owner redo do my hair sooner than a 10 day wait for my stylist to fix my hair. She said flat out "no". She got very rude and told me that they could offer me an appointment with my original stylist or I could pay for a new color with the owner or another stylist and those were my choices. I asked to have the owner please contact me so I could discuss the issue with him. He never called. I would have been happy to just have someone fix my hair. I spent over $350.00 in less than 2 hours in this establishment. It seems like a really stupid policy for the loss of not one but two good clients.
