New York Burgers & Grill

My eggs were undercooked waitress argued with me about them. She took my table mates bills and checked them out but left mine on table so I had to go up to register. She was still arguing with me when I walked out. The place used to be extremely busy but only two other tables in use on a sat morning. Guess I know why now.

I ordered their New York Burger medium, and they cooked it well done. I guess if you want it medium you have to order it raw. I didn't like it on an onion roll, it would have been a lot better on a hamburger bun.

Best food in troy/Michigan. I always go to New York Burgers and Grill every lunch and sometimes breakfast and dinner. Lately it has been getting busier and busier. I Sometimes when I go I have to wait in line for a while because it busy. I went to and ate at other restaurants around their but none of those restaurants top this restaurant. Thank you guys so much for opening you business by my work. Thank you

where can i start! Its one of the best restaurant in Metro Detroit. There food is so tasty that it tasted like my mom make at home! I go every Sunday after church, every time I go in it smells like heaven. you can never imagine it! When I go, I wait in line for 5 minutes but my parents say it still worth it. you see how many people coming in every second. The french toast has a very good taste! All the breakfest is really good! I come 4-5 times a week because my father and mother dont have time to cook, so they say "the best place to eat in New York Burger And Grill." my father always love chopped sirloin sizzling with red skin potato and veggies,great taste. my mother loves the "Starwberry Chicken Salad," the best Chicken eat and around here! I never saw a cook make there food so fast! His name is Fili hes always smiling and a happy face! I try to say "Thank You," but he has no time, because its busy. Thank you for having New York Burgers & Grill, from my family and me!

I will have to say the food is really great! They have large portions and reasonable prices. Here is the problem, the wait staff is awful (one in particular). They constantly get our order wrong and don't bring half the stuff that we did order. When it happened once we were like okay, maybe a bad day, shes new etc. etc. It happens literally every time we go! I would have to say not all the staff is bad, but, there are a few that are really terrible (I am assuming they are family, because if it were my restaurant they would be fired). The cooks are also really creepy, if you just so happen to get a table within their view they just stare at you and your group constantly. Making dinner really uncomfortable. Every time we eat there we always say what a shame it is that they can't get it together, because it has high potential.

New York Burgers is awesome! Great prices and huge portions of yummy food! Best place to eat in Troy, in my opinion! Nice and friendly staff, too!

Best place too eat in troy. Very good and clean place to eat at and enjoy your food. They have so many selections of food i have a hard time picking. The time square burger is one of the best its very juicy and tasty. I always go about three times a week with my friends. this is my favorite restaurant to eat at.

i love this place so much. Ever since it opened up me and my husband been going their for about 4-5 times a week. If you want to get good quality food and fresh food you should defiantly go their. Most of the restaurants at night time don't have a lot of business but this place does because the food is so amazing. That is one of the nicest family restaurant i ever went to and with large food portions.

Great minds think alike. I was just searching on how to leave a review and found this site. I have eaten there several times and totally disagree with two previous writers who say the food is excellent and the portions are large. The portions are not large and the food is subpar. I tried a burger yesterday and couldn't believe they were obviously pre-formed patties. They were dry, oversooked and tasteless. The cheese and mushrooms on top were good. If you're going to call your place New York Burgers at lease have fresh meat not frozen! I also noticed they raised their prices big time and took away a lot on the menu. For the person who wrote and said they wouldn't go out of their way to help him/her during lent, well that's a shame. I agree. They must not need the business. They won't get mine again.

STAY AWAY! What a JOKE! I work at Kroger's and frequently visit this restaurant. I wager they will be out of business very, very soon!

It's lent and I don't eat meat. I called this afternoon and asked for stiry fry or sauteed vegetables. "NO, we don't have that."

"How about a pita with vegetables?" "No, we don't do that anymore."

"How about I buy a chicken pita, minus the chicken and add some vegetables?"

"No."

"What do you have vegetarian?" "Eggs."



I don't know about you, but when a restaurant will NOT work with you, I'm thinking they DON'T NEED OUR BUSINESS!!! NEVER again! Good luck to all of them. People are getting fed up with their "better than you" attitude!!

I come to New York Burgers and Grill many times a week and I can honestly say that it is the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen. The staff is very friendly and there is fast service. Don't even get me started on the portions, THEY ARE HUGEEE!!! and they are always served hot. Their prices are very reasonable. They have huge selections of breakfast items, salads, deli sandwiches, half a pound Angus Burgers.The dinners are served with a choice of soup, salad, or coleslaw. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant, it is just amazing. I highly recomend coming here because you won't leave disappointed.

I go to New York Burgers and Grill at least once a week and I have to say I have never had one bad meal there. The food is always delicious, fresh and well plated. The portions are huge and always very filling. The cooks always to do a really good job at cooking the food the way that the customer wants it. The service is fantastic and they always have a very friendly smile to greet you with. When I walk in there everyone is so friendly and always so sweet. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and for you that haven't tried it yet take my word for it that you will never be dissapointed here. I wish I could give this place more than five stars , its just that great. :-)

I went into New York Burgers & Grill a couple of weeks ago with a close friend of mine, because of the holidays i was not able to write a review. We choose the location because we both have been there before and we have never been disappointed in the past. Well in this occasion it was another story, First off when our waitress came to our table all I could smell on her was cigarettes odor It was horrifying of how bad it was. She came to the table and got our drink orders, I myself ordered a hot tea while my friend order coffee, when she came to serve us the drinks she spilled hot water all over the table, floor, and some feel on my lap. It was very dissapointing on how unprofessional the service was. Was it that HARD to make a second trip and save spilling water all over everything. I ordered a turkey dinner and my accomplice order pierogi. The food itself was great , very warm, quickly served. While eating or waitress never came back once to check if we needed refills and my friends coffee was empty when we left and was not even offered a refill. Its such a shame that a restaurant with such good food has impecably horrible serve. Will consider returning in the future, but would go to another diner instead of this place.

I have been eating at this restaurant ever since it was called Island Breeze. They have the best chicken greek island in all of troy. I order from the new owner and new name "New York Burgers & Grill" three days in a row and ordered the same thing every time and was completely satisfied. Even when I called, the waitress started to know my order. Today, Sunday 10/9, I ordered a extra large chicken greek salad to bring to a friends house to watch football and share with everyone. I went to New York Burgers & Grill and paid $32 (which is a lot for a coney island type restaurant carry out) and went to my friends house. They said the salad would feed a good 8-10 people and I had asked for EXTRA chicken cause come on its the best part of the salad. What we got was a enough lettuce to feed 10 people and enough chicken to feed 1-2 people. They put the same amount of chicken that I was getting my salads I ordered the previous days. I called them and they pretty much told me I am pretty much out of luck and if I wanted more chicken I would have to pay for it. I explained to her that I eat there all the time and that didn't seem to excite her at all. And that was the manager I was talking to after speaking with a employee there.



I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 8 years ever since I moved to Troy and was much happier with the previous owners of Island Breeze then these new albanian owners who are just trying to make as much money as they can and complete disregard for their customers. This is Troy a very prestigious city with people who like to be taken care of. It is a shame that I had to write this review about one of my favorites restaurants. But their service and respect for their customer is disappointing and there are other restaurants in the area that will take better care of their customers. I guess the name New York Burgers and Grill is appropriate, cause they will treat you just like a new yorker (rude, disrespectful, and money driven.)
