Had a manicure, paid $45 plus a $10 tip. When I attempted to schedule my next appointment, Amy (the manicurist) proceeded to insult and embarrass me when she refused to schedule my next appointment when I requested (I had been a long time customer, spending $100/month there and had sent so many new clients her way). I called twice requesting a call from the owner, Vickie, which never came. So, my husband went back to the salon to speak to the owner and to get our money back. The owner (who wasn't even at the salon the day this occurred) proceeded to tell my husband I over reacted and that I was a liar. All of this because I canceled my 4:30 pedicure at noon; 4.5 hours prior. I work full time and have three children at home; sometimes things don't go as planned. With it being a walk-in salon, I thought 6 hour notice was better than telling them when I arrived for my manicure. Rather than tell me she was upset during my hour manicure, Amy waited to tell me at the front desk, in front of other guests and employees, directly after I paid her. It was unbelievable.I was shocked by the treatment I received from Amy - so much so, that I literally told her I was insulted. If insulting me was not what she intended to do, that would have been the perfect time to say so. But she didn't. She just stared at me! Amy had plenty of opportunities to set the record straight, but instead she chose to let me leave your salon visibly upset. Insulting me was exactly what she intended; making it right, was not.As a business owner myself, I was sure that you, the owner would want to know about my experience and would appreciate the opportunity to make it right. Boy was I mistaken!! You weren't even at the salon when this all occurred, yet you looked my husband in the eye and called me a Liar!! Never once offered up an apology. All you did was make an already terrible experience worse. It's no wonder your staff doesn't understand customer service.

I recently moved to Michigan from Miami less than a month ago. So, I needed a new nail spot. It was the day before my WEDDING, I found this place on yelp. Decided to give it a try based off the reviews and location. I called before hand to ask if they have time to do 6 girls (mother, aunt, cousin, and sisters). They told me to come in that there will be no problem. We arrive, everything went smooth until the only man in the place didn't want to give my sister what she was asking for. She wanted her nails shorter and more narrow, instead he slammed his desk drawl, my sister being 8 months prego began crying. He was the most arrogant person I've ever seen. In the meantime I was with a lady, apparently she was the manager, I voiced my concern about how I want my nails, she went on telling me to do powder and than gel over the powder (keep in mind I got acrylic), so I was confused why she's adding powder when I'm going to put gel, she told me I needed the powder. I let it be until I got my bill $100 , I never ever in my life ever spent $100 on nails. I asked her to break down my bill, she charged me $30 for the extra powder I DID NOT NEED and told her I knew I didn't need it but she was so convinced that it was necessary. The "manager" began to raise her voice at my and my family stating that we're crazy. Y'all, I was so livid. My sister asked her to speak to the owner she told us the owner is not in town, we kept insisting she give us a number where we can voice our problems she raised her voice at us to get out, to shut us up she gave us a false number to contact. I then told her I want a refund because of the customer service she said, okay I'm going to take off your nails. It was just terrible, everything about this place was terrible, horrible. It's 3 days later and my acrylics are coming off by themselves. I never experienced this before. DO NOT GO HERE, they will treat you like mud.
Laura Sweisin the last weekI went for a root touch upand highlights with the owner Antoine. I was so excited and it great spirits but he was very rude and hurting me during the blow-dry. I wasn't even upset and was trying to make light of it. He then has his assistant blow drying me too in the opposite direction of him and I just cloed my eyes trying to get through it. He got his brush snagging on my hair and it hurt so bad that my body couldn't help but follow his brush, I thought he would have used his hand to pull the hair out so that it didn't hurt but he ended up pulling it completely. I told him in a jokingly way since he seemed irritated anyhow that it hurt me and he walks away saying "you have such a sensitive scalp I can't even blow dry you", then have twonof his assistentndry and style my hair. I just had my hair bleached and it was very tangled and course and maybe I am sensitive scalped too Indont know. It if that is the case he should have been sensitive to the fact was really hurting. I walked out of there with tears in my eyes my feelings were so hurt. What an arrogant disrespectful and miserable person. Will never go back.

D'Ann Hawkins has been cutting my hair for years. I always get compliments after she styles my hair. I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut my hair!

Horrible place. I took my girlfriend there to have an acrylic nail fixed and they did and absolute terrible job and had a horrible attitude. The nail they fixed was not even straight and was misshaped. Also they over charge. They have one nail priced as $3 but charged us $5 with no explanation. Very rude very terrible quality. Will never return. Not to mention her toe nail looked like this after a pedicure...
Salon lily is by far the best salon I've been to. All the girls are always so welcoming. It is always clean and organized. I've been seeing Megan C. for a few years now and i will never go anywhere else. Megan is always working with me on what I expect with either my cut or dye, and even if it's a trim she makes sure I get what will make my hair healthy and doesn't take cut more than i tell her that i want. She definitely knows what she is doing. She is also so friendly, always chatting up a storm whether it's about the weather or our families. I truly enjoy going to Salon Lily and will be going for many more years to come. Thank you so much Megan for being an amazing stylist!!
I am getting married August 20th, I wanted acrylics on because then a week before my wedding I could just have them filled. I usually go to a place called VG nails Shelby/ 25 they are booked up for next 2 weeks So I went to Elegant Nails, the place is beautiful, yes. I told the gentleman that did my nails in my profession my hands are in water a lot for my hairdresser he said don't worry I will make them look beautiful and make them stay. Needless to say here is a picture of my nails after a week and a halfI could go back and say look they all came off they all lifted within a week and a half but why go there and have them start lifting when is closer to my wedding day. With all the planning for our wedding my nails flipping off lifting should be the last thing on my mind right now I am very disappointedI will never again set foot into that nail salon
