AmeriCU Mortgage group were very helpful and friendly they helped me thru a difficult situation I had no intentions of buying a home but, due to circumstances beyond my control I had to move at a moments notice Matt and his went to work and got me pre-approved for a home loan and the rest is history I have a home that met my every need. Absolute terrible customer service and feeble abilities. In my attempt to obtain a loan, there were difficulties that should have been resolved or at least started on days/weeks prior to the issue arising. When trying to get clarity on certain requirements or fine print, my questions were simply ignored. When my closing date kept getting pushed off and I voiced my concern, I was audibly laughed at. There is no real desire to serve the customer, only to do the bare minimum.
If I could give them zero stars I would. It has been a month since my original closing date and they keep giving me the run around. Every time that I actually get to speak to them, they give me the False hope that we can get the clear to close in a day or two but I realized very quickly that those were just empty promises. No idea when I can potentially close. My sellers are ready to back out of the deal. They are largely unresponsive and never answer the phone and rarely respond to emails. Supposedly they have some issue with the appraisal and I've received multiple emails from the appraisal company that are apparently revisions. The appraisal is what it is. Why do they think they can manipulate the appraisal?? The appraisal company even refuses to speak to me to try and understand what the real issue is, they just refer me back to the mortgage company. I was originally quoted a rate of 3.5 now they are saying the rate is 4.5 and that I'm no longer locked in. The delay is completely their fault. They promised me "no lender closing cost" and a 1% rebate that can be used toward down payment or closing costs. When I didn't see that reflected on the disclosure forms and I asked about it and for a detail of exactly what the closing costs would be, I was told to wait until the loan closed and they would tell me exactly how much. I wasn't told until after I signed the disclosure forms that I would need to pay for a year of insurance upfront. Maybe that is standard but as a first time home buyer, I had no idea and so that's another expense I have to account for. And I just found out by reading a previous review that they don't allow biweekly payments and they charge 7.50 for extra non-scheduled payments. That is so unacceptable. What bank does that? No prepayment penalty per-se but they make it really hard and expensive for you to pay it off early! This company is the absolute worst. Avoid them at all costs!
Shore Mortgage : Very fast and reliable service. Always answered questions and concerns promptly day or night. Very knowledgeable with services and advice. Our 3rd time with this company and still amazing as always. Highly recommended for your needs as well.
Went in to attempt to do business with this organization and when I got to my car I found this bye! I was literally in there 5 minutes. Great way to treat your customers!!!
Shore Morgage staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They worked hard to ensure my closing went as smoothly as possible. I would defintly use Shore Mortgage again.
Everyone we dealt with at Shore was amazing. They were incredibly personable, professional, and provided thorough, quick responses to any questions we had. Not to mention the entire mortgage process was off the charts fast. Our realtor said it was the fastest she had ever seen! I will always recommend Shore to a friend in need of a Mortgage!

I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Kenneth Jones was patient, professional and courteous with every phone call. I had lots of "issues" when applying for this loan but Ken was always positive, kept me on track and patiently walked me through every step of the process.
