Tom's Family Auto Care

Terrible, don't know what they're talking about. Brought my truck in for a squealing noise assured me it was the belt fixed that and the squealing continued. No apologies and said he would take some labor off to repair the water pump, which was the issue. No customer service or intelligence. Save yourself the trouble and try another place.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I brought my fusion in for NO HEAT and not only did they not fix the heat they lied about the cost, did NOT diagnose the problem correctly, kept my car for over a week, and burned up all of my gas! These people are honestly some of the most inexperienced, unprofessional, dishonest, mechanics I have ever seen. Between my warranty and out of pocket I paid them over a thousand dollars for a water pump, thermostat housing, and an O2 sensor and that wasn't even the reason I wasn't getting heat. When I brought it back to them (the second time) they said I had a blown head gasket and they don't do that kind of work there. Please folks, save yourselves a lot of time and money and take your car somewhere else.

So to start, I'm definitely NOT a person who knows anything about cars... I'm a 20 year old blonde girl who drives a VW bug! My dad is a mechanic, but he's a fairly "cheapest and fastest fix possible" type, so I knew I'd have to go elsewhere for repairs when I bought the bug! Since I fit the "woman in a repair shop" stereotype so well, it would have been SO easy for every single employee of Tom's Family Auto to take advantage of me and charge me practically the entire value of my car for ONE repair... but they didn't. I have gotten countless repairs done on my '99 car, and it runs beautifully. I've recommended them to all of my friends, and they're happy customers as well. If you EVER need anything done to your car, GO HERE :)

Ladies beware!!! I am a lady who dose know a litte about cars. This is one for the books. I went in with a CLUNK in right the front of my van. I could not imagine what it could be because I had just had all new front end work done in another state. I do live in Michigan and purchase the parts here. I took them with me and had them done there and came home. When I took the van to Toms, Even Before they drove it to the stall, He told me that it was my busshings and wrote it on the paper!!! I said I did not think so but if that was the problem to please make sure to give me the parts ( as I was returning to the other state in a few days again ) I was wondering when they came back out to tell me that Yes it is the bushing( in about 10 minutes) AND not even a TEST drive. I let them fix it and then I returned to pick it up! On the way home the cluncking returned so I called right away and I said I would bring the car back in and also that I could not find my parts. They said they were closeing and that I could bring it another day.Also, they would look for my parts. I had only been gone from there a half hour so I knew they had to be there. The next morning I called for an appointment AND about my parts and I WAS TOLD THAT THE GARBAGE TRUCK HAD COME THE NIGHT BEFORE and thats probably what happen to my parts. AND AFTER ALL sense I had the work done in another state I probably would not be going back there anyway and really would not be needing them!!!! TOMS AUTO DID NOT WORK ON MY CAR AND CHARGED ME A LOT OF MONEY AND REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY PARTS...WHICH IS AGAINIST THE LAW!!! This did happen a few months ago but I just found them on here and can not let this go. To bad there is a NO Star Rateing!!!

Had a Leak in my Cooling System Toms found a hole In My raidiator replaced it in a timely maner & got Me back on

the road for a very good price THANKS GUYS FOR A GOOD JOB !!!!

My brother had used this repair shop a number of times and raved about how good their work is and the reasonable charges. I have since had repairs done here and have no complaints. They try to work with you if you have to have your car back by a certain day or time. If they don't know if they can get it finished in time they will tell you that up front. I have since recommended Tom's to my daughter-in-law and she's been very satisfied with their service. Three of my grandchildren have their cars serviced at Tom's and well as a friend and co-worker who has had her husband's and her teenager's cars serviced there. All have been satisfied and recommended this place to others.

Inspite of the last review. I was a customer of Toms and let me tell ya, they where great.

They dropped a motor in my car. Reasonable price and excellent customer service. I am a woman that knows nothing about cars. They didn't take advantage of me and was very upfront and honest. I shopped around before making my final decision. I would recommend Toms family Auto to friends and family!
