Organized in 1975, the Commission on Aging is an organization that provides a variety of support services for senior citizens and their family members and caregivers. It coordinates with other organizations that offer health care solutions. The organization provides house cleaning assistance, such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry and floor washing services. The Commission on Aging administers a home health aide program that includes dressing, bathing and prescription review solutions. The organization offers lawn maintenance, mowing, and snow and leaves removal services. It also provides wheelchairs, walkers, commodes and bath benches. The organization is a part of the government of Grand Traverse County in Michigan.
