I went there with my family (5 of us in all) and we were sooo well taken care of! We were there the whole day and all got amazing tattoos. Tim did a great job with color and detail, and made us feel so welcome. We were there well after close, but never got the impression they were trying to get us out or anything. I don't live in the area, but if I am ever in need of ink when there I will for sure be going back!! :)
I had the most awful experience here, there is no customer service. I would go as far as to say that the owner and one of his employee degrades their customers. When I got my first tattoo here I paid to get a back piece and a stomach piece. Because we ran out of time and I had to get foot surgery I was to have a credit put on file by my artist because I paid more or over what I had done. He never filed that he was overcompensated it and I being naive never had a receipt or paper showing that this credit existed. When I decided to follow up with this the owner couldn't find the credit because my artist never filed it and he thought I was trying to scam them and made me call the artists cell phone. When I finally made a new appointment the artist scheduled it for the wrong day. I live an hour and a half a way and drove very far to get to my appt. He wasn't there. I called him and he wouldn't answer his phone and the shop was closed. The next day when confronted him they claimed that the appointment was scheduled the following day and it was my mistake and fault. I had another artist from the shop who was perfectly willing to continue the work I wanted to do but the owner was addiment on having the orginal artist- the one who blew me off and not file my credit complete my work as he must have had animostity towards me and a needle in his hand is pretty dcary. I really was uncomfortable with him at this point and didn't want him to. The owner made us talk as well, which also made me uncomfortable. This artist blamed me for mis-scheduling and then called the owner when I requested the other artist. When the owner requested to speak with me he said that I caused too much drama was trying to scam them and to "get the f@#^ out of his shop".
Additional details: When the artist asked me why I waited so long to come back to complete my work I explained to him that I was attending college full-time and work full-time. He said that he worked and had things going on in his life to and that my excuse was a weak one. Is it just me or is it too much to ask as a client or customer to not have to explain yourself or be judged by your associate? I also was put into tears and coerced into several situations that made me highly uncomfortable such as having to speak with a worker that I didn't want to, having to be yelled at by the owner, accused of actions that were not my fault so that their shop did not look bad and attacked by the worker's girlfriends. As a former tattoo shop this stuff has just got to stop. If it's clean then it's run by people like Mason who seem to treat people so poorly and lose clientele. I was always speaking so highly of this shop until now. What they put me through should never have to happen.
I remember Tim he was the owner of rarebreed he didn't do a good job their so why is he any better with a new shop I just don't get it does he just think he can get a new shop and have a new good reputation? I don't think so.
Tim Drapper no longer works at Flippin' Ink. We have guest artist(s) in his place that do much better work.
