Disgusting bunch of junk. Brand new, beautiful and spacious building in a perfect location--filled with old and smelly items thrown in disarray. Where is the good stuff? Probably shipped elsewhere. Won't be going back!
I needed a Job and applied but application asked about church membership. I am not a member on SC but am religious but not a baptist so feel an outcast. My husband died of a glioblastoma brain tumor at she 48 and still have 2 children at home with no church home. Live on Hwy 11 near hwy 25. Need a church home. Please help.
The store is clean ,the clothes are in good shape ,the staff is friendly. Some things are priced too high for a thrift store. Particularly furniture and the clothing at the front of the store in their little "boutique" area. I guess if you will pay crazy prices at a regular store then it is a bargain ,but to me the prices are too high on these USED items. They are good quality used items though. As for the rest of the merchandise, they do have good sales but it seems to me to catch the ones I want I would have to be a constant shopper there and I don't have time. BUT I have found cute outfits for my granddaughter for only $1 or.50 cents.
I have been shopping here for over 2 years. Lately the prices are laughable! Some items I can find cheaper on eBay. Or they price a clothing item high because of the supposed designer label but over look the big hole in the item. Seriously? And they I am asked if I want to donate money? I have a heart for non profits, but these items are donated to you FREE. Wouldn't you rather move inventory out and get the money in the hands of the people you are intended to help? I have significantly reduced the amount of money I spend here due to the higher prices.
I think this thrift store has wonderfully items and I find a ton of stuff I like however I feel whomever does the pricing is doing a terrible job most items are way overpriced especially the furniture.i know they are for a good cause but if the store had more reasonable price in I would buy more . I'm a mother of three and have a very tight budget so finding good deals is a must for me.i wish someone would consider a change
My favorite thrift store to browse and buy is this one. Some kind of sale every day. Great prices on clothing and household goods. Well worth the trip to TR! Wonderful, friendly staff and a great cause.
I have to totally disagree with LaurieHawk40. The prices were more than reasonable! It is clean, well organized and with a helpful staff. It is nice to know that your donations are well cared for so they can be useful to someone else. I will be shopping again soon. One of the items we bought was a lovely ball gown off the sale rack for $10 dollars. Thank you for all the good you folks are doing!
I shop here almost every week. The regular prices are sensible ( a little lower than most big thrift stores) and the sales are awesome. The best about shopping here are the people working in the store. They are very friendly and helpful all the time.
I had really high hopes for this place when they opened, I buy and donate on a weekly basis and the location of the store was perfect for me, but unfortunately they are simply not community friendly and have mistaken themselves for a high end boutique. All items are donated so imagine my suprise to discover the prices on some of these items. I am all for making a profit especially for a non-profit orginazation but they are over pricing items in such an extreme manner that I would be embarrassed to tell anyone they could find a bargain in this store. FYI I am not the only one who feels this way I have been in there several times and EVERY SINGLE TIME someone is complaning about the prices. 45.00, 75.00 and 100.00 for used donated shoes people. I am well aware that they are pricing items using E-bay and thats fine but they are in la la land if they think listed price and actual sold prices are the same. Trust me people I know my E-bay... and used Cole Haan Shoes are alot cheaper on E-bay- So take my advise shop at Good-will, donate to Good-will and save your time and money and avoid this particular Miracle Hill store in Travelers Rest South Carolina.
