Asked for a washer repair out of warranty, the service guys were great , honest. But the repair/replacement parts were bad...twice. a whole month without a washer. service tech gave me the best advice, " get a total refund and buy a new one. Bought a kenmore Elite . the best one they had and a pedestal for $300 cheaper than the repair. Cheap parts and Horrible service support for the guys in the field.
The repair guy who came out located the problem quickly. We didn't need to use the new part. The wire had become disconnected. He explained things to me and showed me how to check things. He wasn't here very long, but he didn't rush and was very friendly and professional.
On the morning of 11/19 our hot water heater went out. Since I have a Sears appliance warranty I immediately called Sears. They said they would have someone come and check it out ASAP. It was the next morning before a technician showed up. He examined the hot water heater and said " sure enough it needs to be replaced". He also said that since he was turning in the report before noon more than likely a new one would be installed that afternoon. A very helpful lady from the Tracy Sears store called and said we would we would need to come to the store and pay for some items that were not covered by the warranty. Within an hour I was at the Sears store and made payment. It was disappointing that Sears could not take payment over the phone unless we had a Sears credit card. The lady at the Tracy store started trying to contact the sub contractor that was going to make the installation. To make a long story short she was unable to make contact, and the subcontractor did not install the new heater until Monday 11/23. We were without hot water for 5 days! Sears people treated us very well. However, their subcontractor (All Access Plumbing) does not communicate well at all.
