This company is terrible!! Unfortunately, they are still in business because we don't have a choice on our water company. I had my water turned off over a $22 bill that I paid on time through my online banking account. They are so behind in technology that my bank has to write and mail them a check, instead of wiring. Because of the lag in mailing the check, my water was cut off at 4pm. The office closes at 4:30... by the time I found out what the issue was it was after 4:30 and they charged me $100 reconnection fee! I took my bank statement to the office (which is a shack). To prove I did pay the bill on time and the money was withdrawn from my account. Robbie that works there was so rude! In her redneck, uneducated voice says, "if you don't pay your bill on time, it gets cut off and you get to pay me extra". At this point I'm furious. I ask for her name and pay the ridiculous bill and leave. I wait 1 month (to really calm down) before calling to speak with her manager. When I called, they answered the phone "hold please". I wait on hold for 5 minutes - I think they must have forgotten about me, Ill call back. Again they answer the phone "hold please" - I quickly say "I was on hold for 5 minutes" - they reply "HOLD!" a few minutes later they come back to the line. I ask for the office manager. "She's not available. What can I help you with". I said, "I just prefer to speak with the manager. May I have her voicemail?" She says "We don't have voicemail! What do you need!?!?" - I ask for an email address. She refuses to give me an email address or the office managers name. I then ask "Is this Robbie?" and she said that is was and if you don't tell me what you want no one can help. I told her I wasn't interested in speaking to her and will call back when her manager is available. This is a poor excuse of a company.
Worst company in TN, never sent me a bill but told me to expect it must june, never got it, shut my water off late in day today over 22$ bill, all the regulatory violations and multiple complaints are TRUE, the over charge on bills, never send one, cut off your water due to THEIR MISTAKES, all to get an extra 100$ for the reconnect fee. Worst company in TN, with terrible, horrible people working there and running it. Move anywhere other than a place that uses Tuckaleechee utility for service, if you don't you will regret it!!!!!!!
This place needs to move into the 21st century!! The office is located in a tiny bldg. behind a hotel that is not only hard to find but inconvenient for Seymour customers.There is no website and the online billpay sucks. I've used it before and get charged additional 2.50 just for the privilege, but today I have repeatedly typed in the website address listed on the bill but can't connect. Very frustrating. If you try to call the office with a question, half the time they don't answer the phone.
Last thanksgiving the day before,they went around early and shut off peoples water a lot of people, On top of your bill they charged 50 more to turn it on. One lady had called when I was in the office and she had a broken leg and could not drive she asked if someone could come and get her money. They told she was out of luck! They don't care about thier customers at all! Shame on them!!!!
