my sears water heater was working fine. i have the water heater waranty so sears called me to have a technician come and give the heater a check up. the tech came, and 3 days later, my water heater stopped working. when i called sears and told them that the tech appears to have inadvertently caused another problem, the soonest they could get someone out to me was 4 days later. i would think if they caused a problem, they would get someone else out asap to fix that problem. i am not happy with sears, have been a supporter over the years and now that they are financially in trouble, i would suggest that they take care of existing and loyal customes when they are in fact the cause of the problem. had to call sears 5 times to get someone other than an 'appointment making" person. i am inclined to not utilize sears in the future for new items or a warranty that has caused me a problem i never had before i purchased that warranty.

We have an contract on our heater for maintenance, and schedule an appointment annually for an inspection. We are always pleased with this service. The technicians are on-time, polite, and knowledgeable. This give us confidence that are heater is running properly.

I have to say, I used Sears a lot to for appliance repair, because I felt that they always did an amazing job. And I had confident in a trusted name. This time, I had the most awful experience of my life with sears.

The technician fixed the on going problem but at the same time created another.

My fridge had started to leak water into the freezer. After he left, the water completely stopped. Meaning, now my fridge won't even make any ice anymore. So he didn't really repair but rather just disconnected the water to the freezer itself, so that water won't leak. So at the end, he didn't resolve the problem.

On top of it, he went to use my bathroom and let's just say, he used it as if he was at a abundant gas station somewhere in the desert. He must have had a stomach bug or something. He performed number two in the worst possible way, and didn't even have the decency to clean it with the toilet brush but rather leave it like a filthy mess. I thing that is the least you can expect from someone who comes to use your toilet. Matter of fact, a technician should NEVER come and use your bathroom, period. But then leave it like this, it's just rude.

And when I called customer service and told them about what had happen, nobody called me to follow up, nor did they do anything to resolve. I am deeply disappointed and lost trust in sears. I guess, even a company that is in business for that many years, can loose its value and quality if it's run by the wrong managment.

All in all, sorry I can't recommend this kind of service nor costumer service to any friends of mine. I would be ashamed if t I had recommended sears to someone and they had done something like that in their bathroom AND not even fixed the problem they came to begin with. Did he just come to my house to use my bathroom?...
