Del Amo Behavioral Health System

This hospital is the worst mental health facility I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. The doctors there either don't care about your well-being, or they don't bother to visit you at all. Then they will proceed to write lies in their notes in a pathetic effort to keep you in the hospital longer just so that they could get paid more. The doctor I had, Dr. Freinhar, barely even saw me and when he did, it was only in the morning and only for a second, but he would have dried drool on his face, which is just plain disgusting. Then he lied and said that I was psychotic, delusional, and confused, none of which was true. Fortunately the nurses were also observing me, so their notes told a very different story. Most of the staff is caring, hence the one star, and the social workers are really awesome. The food there isn't really that great (sometimes I wouldn't even eat half of it), and the snacks are alright. But the day I got discharged one girl almost had soup thrown on her and a guy broke the window of the Nurse's Station in ITU (which was where I was admitted). Avoid this place.
