THE MOST OVERRATED SALON IN TORRANCE!! IF YOU HAVE CAUCASIAN HAIR, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This salon is strictly for Asian hair. The operators are Asian and 2 Mexican (non English speaking) operators, one who worked on my hair. The reviews are written by friends and family. The reviews did not match the outcome of my procedure. I went in with dark brown longish hair requesting to be bleached and color change to LIGHT BROWN. They charged me $200.00 for the bleach and when I asked for the Light Brown color the owner told me "that is another $50.00." I paid $250.00. I came home to wash my hair with Loreal and Pantene and stepped out of the shower with PLATINUM BLONDE HAIR, due to the color washing out 1/2 hour after getting home. Now it is white bleached hair. The color does not match my skin tone. I remember showing them a picture of Light Brown hair and showing them the Color #8 (color #10 is black) on their color wheel, which was Light Brown. Whatever color they put on burns my scalp not to mention the color penetrating my scalp and reaching my brain as it is so potent. I do not believe these operators passed the California State exam for their Beautician License. They put the bleach on my hair and RUBBED THE BLEACH on with their fingers on each strand of hair. The process of bleaching alone took 4 hours. My hair bleaches easily, they just did not know what they were doing as I have had bleached my hair for the past 25 years. The State will shut them down if they are operating without Beautician Licenses. I will call my bank and stop payment or file a claim. I will also go into ZIVA today to show them the outcome and demand some kind of resolve. BTW, when they wash the bleach and color out THEY DO NOT USE SHAMPOO OR CONDITIONER, all you get is a water rinse.
They had amazing service, an amazing crew, and it was clean and comfortable. It was my first time there so I was very cautious of the results but they did a beautiful job! Definitely going back to this salon-very high quality and would highly recommend.
This is my favorite Burke Williams location. It's roomy, the staff are excellent, the amenities are great and there's ample free parking. It's worth the drive to Torrance.
My Mother went to this salon for a four hour perm. When Iarrived to pick her up. My mother was charged 60.00 forher visit but nothing was done to her hair accept a wash and dry. Not one curl on her head. She is very upset and has requested a full refund from this business but has notyet received one. This salon or Moni, the stylist tookadvantage of a elderley person. I am probably the least qualified person to review a beauty salon. But I had such a good experience today thought I should share. Normally I look for a barber poll. They have those magazines on the table, and sports on TV... with bad reception. The pictures on the wall are all, well, the same: brush cuts. And the coffee is cold. The difference between a good and bad cut is - 2 weeks. I will be traveling out of town for a job interview, so I want to look my best. My caregiver (ha, that's what she was!) for my salon experience (ha, that's what I call a haircut here!) was the lovely and gracious Saida. She speaks English, French, and Arabic, and does hair fluently as well. I told Saida I want a cut that doesn't make me look "fancy," won't get messed up, I want to comb it once in the morning and that's it for the day. And I don't want a brush cut. She said, "Oh you want a business Man's cut!" That's what I got, and boy do I look gooood. My Signora won't let me leave for work tomorrow. Saida's salon is clean (I notice these things) and she is just a delight. Give her a chance. Tell her the Italian business man sent you
