Great place with great food and a variety of deli foods. The hot pickles are so good! What I most appreciate is the store is closed on a Sunday so employees can rest and worship.
Ate here for the FIRST time today....made my last trip to Taco Bell seem like a 'gourmet experience'. TERRIBLE! We didn't mind the 25+ minute wait, which gave us ample time to figure out exactly what we wanted to order. TOO BAD they didn't get hardly ANY of the order right?! Quality was pretty bad too.The Fish taco had about 2 TBS of cold fish on it, and tasted like a cold lettuce and cold tortilla taco. The 'tempura' Fish taco had 2 small pieces in it, and you really couldn't find any meat inside the small ball of Tempura dough.(Ordered shrimp tempura anyway.) It also was cold, and tasted like the other cold taco, except it had dough in it. Got a 3rd cold fish taco, in place of the Fajita Chicken Taco we ordered?! HOW? Actually ordered ONE fish taco and ended up with FOUR. Two out of the four we ordered were supposed to be hard shells, ended up with 5 soft shells.REALLY didn't get much right, you know?! I personally did not like the 'cheese dip' much either, since I doubt it had any real cheese in it. Tasted like a white version of that fake cheese they serve at ballparks, with a couple chunks of tomato on top. You have to buy Salsa.....To compare: we could have had 2 Full Monterey Chicken Platters with rice, beans, chips and salsa, with a Full order of REAL cheese dip, at Jose Pepper's today, for $3 less that we spent on these cold tacos. (Not only wrong tacos, but wrong amount of them too, so got charged more!) I don't think it's because they are new. Overall attitude of everyone working there was pretty bad, with no real concern about doing it right or making you seem welcome. DISAPPOINTING on every level, and we won't bother going there again.
I was disappointed at this restaurant. Knowing it is new but there cashier was extremely slow. I waited in line over an hour and watched several patrons walk out. They sell beer and Margaritas they don't have a bartender and the second cashier also works as a bartender mixing drinks. The food was good the wait staff the people who clean the tables were all hanging around the dinnerware station and in the way of patrons trying to find tables. The TVs had on something that hardly anyone wants to watch (tennis) had to ask for the Chiefs game. Manager didn't do much to help the situation at the cashier whispering in their ear which stopped the cashier in mid order and then she had to start all over. If you don't want to wait too long find another place to eat.
El Mezcal is a small business that has branches in the northeast part of Kansas. This one in Topeka, has everything you wanted for a night out with your family, or lunch with your coworkers. As you sit down in the authentic themed Mexican restaurant, chips and salsa are served to you immediately. Then shortly after that you get greeted and asked for drinks. The service of the family owned Mexican restaurant is felt in the place. It's warm and pleasant to see joy on the faces of everyone who works there. The food is amazing and authentic. No downsides when it comes to this restaurant. 5 star and would recommend to everyone. P.S. order the white casó.
Very clean! Excellent service and food. Will bring whole family this weekend. A must go to restaurant!
Love this place! It's only got drive thru but it's so good! Real Authentic Mexican food. The burritos are huge. I like the pork best but my son prefers the beef.
Excellent services Excellent food
First visit in years and definitely my last.
Their prices are so reasonable, and good portions. They have great guacamole! And their shredded beef burrito, great choice! If you call in an order don't be late! They will throw your tacos away and remake them rather than serve you one that has been sitting for more than 5 minutes or so. I have no complaints here.
Awesome food!! Never had bad food or a bad experience and we eat here pretty often, at least 3 times a month.
