Welcome to New Century Credit Union--Your Financial Family! New Century Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. In other words, we are a member owned financial institution offering services and products such as checking, savings, investments, Visa credit and debit cards and consumer and mortgage loans. We offer online financial services and sell discount movie tickets and summer fun park passes. Our board of directors are volunteers elected by the membership. We do not pay dividends to stockholders, we return profits to our members in the form of lower loan rates and fees and higher dividend rates on savings and investments. Your funds are insured to at least $100,000 through the National Credit Union Administration. We are very active in our communities and participate with the Topeka Credit Union Foundation, which donates $10,000 annually to local charities. We sponsor several fundraisers a year to benefit the Children's Miracle Network and the Topeka Rescue Mission. Our warm and friendly staff, in Topeka and Overland Park, have over 113 years credit union experience. New Century Credit Union's philosophy is "people helping people". This is not a motto, it is our daily practice. Our members are family! Our membership is open to telecommunications employees and their families, patrons and subsidiaries thereof. Call or stop by to see if you qualify for membership. We welcome you to Your new Financial Family! Sincerely, Stephanie Stuart, President/CEO New Century Credit Union

I have been a member of the New Century Credit Union for 8 years now. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this organization is! It seems strange calling NCCU an "organization." Yes, they are my bank...but I also consider them more than that...more like a friend. When I walk into "my bank" I am called by my first name, my favorite teller already has my preferred account pulled up by the time I reach the counter and when I sometimes become "confused" with all the numbers they walk me thru my transactions and offer to print yet another statement. I have also been helped with a loan that enabled me to get a new car and the President herself helped me to set up overdraft protection. When I tried to get my home refinance and didn't meet a credit unions strict criteria they gave me the phone number of a local mortgage broker who gave me invaluable assistance with my credit issues. My NCCU hosts numerous activities throughout the year - they cook me hotdogs, ask me about my next performance in the local theater and every time I walk through their doors I am greeted with warmth, a smile and service beyond belief...and every time I leave I feel special and taken care of. For as long as I live in this community I will remain a member of the New Century Credit Union and will come to them first for all my banking needs.
My name is Jerome V. Williams, Sr., a member of New Century Credit Union since 1986' . We were first introduced by our mother, a Southwestern Bell employee, retired. My wife and I opened accounts for our children, who are all adults now and have enjoyed many benefits the CU has to offer. Our children were able to establish good credit ratings and were taught the value and responsibility of managing good credit before leaving home for college. To sit in a friendly and clean office and be recognized as a member not customer, speaks for itself. Our concerns and financial needs always being satified. I was personally touched when we relocated to Spring Valley, CA May 2008' and felt even closer contact with the tellers as transition took place. We know all the tellers and most of the support staff by name. I'm at peace to have a continuing account with NCCU knowing that members and staff/member can put a face with the account # and name. My wife and I live over 1650 miles from our NCCU home office in Topeka, KS but it seems like it's right around to corner. Thank you NCCU for watching our family grow. Jerome V. Williams, Sr. 10343 Elmdale DR Spring Valley, CA 619-713-6290
I have been a member of New Century Credit Union since 1969. I have had loans, savings, checking accounts and certificates, all of which were very competitive and handled by extremely professional employees. I have needed car prices, consumer ratings information, money orders, travelers checks, and many other small services, all of which were provided usually at no cost. I have needed financial counseling at various times and have been assisted by the staff or by someone they recommended. Once a year, in celebration of International Credit Union day, I even get a free hot dog and soda and enjoy them with other credit union members. If that sounds great, just read this: I have a say in how the credit union operates. As a member, I get to vote on who serves on the NON-salaried Board of Directors and the NON-salaried Credit Committee. In other words, New Century is ours (the other members and me) to control and use and from which we all benefit. Thankfully, I found a financial home nearly 40 years ago.
There are many financial institutions out there that "talk the talk" but when it really comes down to providing exceptional member service they fail to "walk the walk". I have been a member of New Century CU for over 10 years now and they have NEVER let me down. I can expect consistant outstanding member service each and every time I go in. The friendly employees, always greet me by name when I walk thru the door and even have my account number pulled up before I reach the counter! Now that's service! Stephanie, the President/CEO has an office out front so she is visible to the membership. How many other places do that??? Yep, NCCU definitely has it going on. They don't have a red capet in their lobby but they should!!!
The name may have 'new', but it is the wonderful 'old' style of business that keeps us there! Fine service, name/face recognition, having my info available before I can even spit out the account number, etc. I've moved out of state many times, and have maintained NCCU! They are the 'home' away from 'home'. I'm never far away, when I can just call a 'friend' who can handle whatever item I need handled. My mother, a retired SW Bell employee, introduced me to NCCU and I've been a member since before 1980! I haven't "upgraded" to anyone else, as there is no better than my 'home' credit union.
Happy New Year, 2009! New Century Credit Union is still good news, even with the uncertain economy facing us all. We have money to lend and offer a safe place for your investments. In addition, your funds with NCCU are now insured to at least $250,000. We pledge to serve our membership in the New Year in the same professional, courteous and ethical manner as in the past. We vow to work with you during your financial difficulties as we do during the best of times, because New Century Credit Union is Your Financial Family. Sincerely, Stephanie Stuart, President/CEO New Century Credit Union
I have enjoyed a very close professional relationship with this credit union for around 33 years. I have seen new managers, new names and logos, and have never had reason to walk around the corner for a larger facility. I have always been greeted by name, usually with a smile,by people who display a genuine desire to help, aid, and assist every member on a peersonal, yet professional basis. In my opinion, the current management and staff excell in all phases of the business.
I have been with New Century since I moved to Kansas from California. I never new you could get serviced this well by a banking instatution. The employees our wonderul and very kind and helpful. There is no reason for me to go anywhee else for any banking services from loans - checking - savings - and investments. They have it all and are willing to help out at any given time. They really do care about you. Thanks New Century!
Credit unions are definitely the way to go. They can offer better rates on investments, lower rates on loans, and fewer fees because they are not-for-profit. Credit unions do not have greedy stock holders, but have a group of volunteer board of directors that steer the organization. If you are looking for a financial institution that has superior value, Educational Credit Union is the place to look.
