Spoke with her on the phone and was extremely rude and asked if I knew how to speak English. Hope she goes out of business.

I highly recommend this company. The quality of work was outstanding, very professional. Ms. Suki and staff were wonderful to work with- kind, fast, efficient, and did a wonderful job altering my wedding dress. Ms. Suki added a 3 point bustle to my dress, adjusted the shoulder straps (by several inches), hemmed the front & sides, added a satin & embroidered belt that was purchased separately, and incorporated a bra so I would not need a bustier (very low back on dress). I had three separate fittings and Ms. Suki was very patient and easy to work with. All my questions were answered and they did an amazing job preparing my dress for the big day! Thank you so much for your great service!!
I've been a customer here since I moved to Toledo 8 years ago. They are always friendly, fast, and do a great job! Most recently I took a not-so-well made bridesmaid dress in to be altered and the wonderful sweet ladies there spent time up front looking how to best do the alterations to not only get it to fit, but to FIX the defective dress (it was too late to return it - because, by the way, they were doing this with less then a week turn around!). The dress is great. As always, I couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of work. :)
If zero stars was an option then that is what they would get, so we'll have to rate one star. Mary is a total rude psychopath. She did not do the alterations correctly. When I asked about it, she held up the dress and threatened to cut it to shreds with a a pair of scissors. Luckily her sister was there to calm her down. Nonetheless she forced me to pay over $100 for alterations that were not done propertly or as promised. If I didn't pay then she would not give my dress back. RUN don't walk from this place.
Beware of doing business with this establishment.Work was fair at best and pricing was higher at the location than originally told to us over the phone. Underhanded business tactics.
I had to have a bridesmaid's dress taken in on very short notice. Cheryl was helpful and quick... Listened to exactly what I wanted, worked with me and the price was very reasonable! I will definitely go there again.
If I could give less than one star, I would. I took a suit in to be tailored and pants to be hemmed. I was told item would be ready by the 4th. I went there on the 4th and they hadn't started any work whatsoever. Excuses were made, such as: "The person who does that work hasn't been in." and "I can get the pants done for you in a day, but I can't do the jacket without the person who does such work." What bloody good are suit pants without the jacket? No attempt was made to notify me my suit would not be ready, so I ended up wasting my time making a trip over there. Initially I gave them the benefit of the doubt, the woman who I assume is the proprietor keep going on about a big wedding order and that they were really busy. Busy or not, though, if you say it will be done on the 4th and then realize it isn't possible, you should notify your customer ASAP. When I went to pick up the suit (now 6 days late), I noticed the work on the pants was shoddy at best. I have seen middle school students bring home better stitch work from home economics classes. When I pointed it out, the owner agreed it was pretty bad work and made excuses, such as: "I can't believe she did that." and "She definitely left to much stitch in."Feeling now as though I am owed a discount for the whole deal being that it is now nearly a week late, coupled with the fact that I would have to wait another day for the pants, I asked the owner what she was going to do about it. She said she would take off the cost of the pants. I was not very satisfied with this attempt to make up for her shortcomings as a business owner, but I am a busy person with better things to do so I paid and she guaranteed the work would be done the next day for pick up. When I went to pick up the pants (now a week late), it had looked like absolutely new changes were made. Again, a slew of excuses, "My iron doesn't get hot enough to make those lines disappear.", "That is the absolute best quality a machine can do.", and "It looks fine." Owner was rude and irate to me at this point nearly screaming that she did fix the pants and I was picky. Apaprently, at Esther's Alterations, the customer is not always right. In fact, the customer seems to be a nuisance to her. I said, "Fine. I will just take it." I went to grab my own suit and she grabbed it away saying, "I have had a long day and now this. Wait a minute! Let me look it at. Fine. Take it." Before leaving she said in a highly irritated voice, "Give me back my tag."Now, I understand life can sometimes be stressful and people can have bad days, but the continued poor customer service, terrible quality, and, ultimately, bad day or not, rude behavior exhibited by the owner forces me to strongly suggest potential customers to take their business elsewhere and save their time and money. I will now have to take my pants to an actual tailor to have them fixed properly so I don't look like I tried to hem my own bloody pants when I am at the office or with clients. Thanks, Esther's Alterations. Thanks for nothing.
Mary of Sew-N-Such was completely demeaning and destroyed what SHOULD have been a joyful experience for my daughter's alteration of her wedding gown. Her nasty and inflexible attitude with a refusal to address questions and/or concerns was most likely because of a lacking skill level to do quality work in the first place. With a complete lack of tack or customer service, I can say without hesitation that to use the services of this "award winner" - which HAS to have been a joke - is to take your life in your hands. I see her as a complete bully and would steer clear of both her and her shop. And too.. what kind of inept seamstress has a black lab hanging around wedding dresses???? Horrible!!!
Alterations and More is somewhere I would go again! We only gave them a week to get it done and they had it done in time and it fit great!! They went above and beyond to help us out at the last minute. Connie Limes
I took a dress that needed to be altered quickly. The lady was very nice and helpful but when I asked the price, she wanted to charge me $170. I was shocked! I took the dress to another place and they are charging me $75 to do the exact same thing and I trust them more! Perfect fit seems like a good place, but do a little shopping around before you settle with them.
