I went there today cause I got food poisoned and flue plus fever. I barely arrived at the clinic .. the doc showed he doesnt care at all and quickly want to write down a pain killer. .. and told me that Im fine. I asked for shot in muscle or an IV to help with hydration, he refused, WTF I have an Insurence that covered that. I went to the UT Clinic and immediately they put me on a bed and they hook me with two IV. They use cold cloth to help with fever( they also told me that if the fever didnt go away they would get me in a cold shower) its a huge different . I will never go there again, thus its not the first time they do something like that.
This agency was to provide care three days a week for my 91yr. old parents - the home health aide assigned called off 5 times in 2 months with 1\\2 to one hour's notice. If you are looking for someone you can depend on Don't Use This Agency!!!
More than just a company. This wonderful staff truely cares for the families they provide care for. Unlike most companies they return phone calls and emails. We are in constamt communication on any updates or changes. They care!
I came in the other day because I fell down the stairs and hurt my ankle. I waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes then got to the exam room. The doctor took 15 minutes to come in not bad. But he only took 30 seconds to exam my swollen, bruised ankle. Then told me I'd have to wait 30 minutes to get an X-ray. Not until almost an hour later I got my X-rays. Everything was good. They diagnosed it as a severe sprain. Didn't give me an ace bandage for protection or anything. I could barely even put weight on my foot. Then told me to go to an ortho to make sure it was diagnosed correct. WHATEVER. I absolutely hate urgent cares especially if they don't even care.
I was exhibiting signs of strep throat, had a very high fever, bones were achy, joints were almost immovable- I come in and give them my insurance information- Everything was taken care of, I went and sat down in one of the little leather seats in a small room, and the doctor comes in, swabs me, comes back in 5 minutes later and tells me I'm fine and I don't have strep throat, and that it definitely isn't a bacterial infection, and that it'll heal on it's own in a few days. I saw my way out- For a while, I felt better, went back to work, went out to dinner with the family, and slept away the sickness.....a day after my visit my face is covered in sores, STREP sores, a bacterial infection that is confirmed by a REAL doctor, and a near inability to breath.. I would never go back to this facility againIf there was one good thing to say about this place, it's that they were nice
Being someone who doesn't live around here, last year when I was sick with mono and strep throat Sylvania Urgent care was the best and most caring place to go. So of course this year when I started to feel sick i returned hoping for the same service, but unfortunately it was a huge waste of my time. I don't know if they got a whole new staff but no one seem to know what they were doing. The girl at the front desk kept having to ask questions between another girl. Although it was annoying I was still polite but what I couldn't believe was the assistant who helped me in the doctors room. I told her of my symptoms, thinking I might have strep. So she swabbed for strep, and a little while later came in and said, "Oh i forgot I have to swab for two other things including strep." okay, not a big deal. A little while later she comes back saying she forgot that you need to have blood for mono. At this point I was getting a little nervous. Then she proceeded to take the pricker and things out of the cabinets but seem to have no idea where they were. As she grabbed the pricker she said, "Oh I think I broke it," and proceeds to press it and actually breaks it. Shes leaves AGAIN to go get another finger pricker since she broke that one. When she comes back in to prick my finger she couldn't figure out how to hold the pricker right and was worried that she didn't get enough blood in the tube. After she runs test, I'm assuming it was the doctor, came in and told me I had a viral infection and told me I just needed to run its course and left me with that. Gave me no information on what I should and shouldn't take, what happens if it gets worse, nothing. I understand you cant really do anything for a viral infection, but with the procedures the assistant went through for testing, I'm not sure she even tested me right. Although I was polite the whole time, it is safe to say I no longer will be using that walk-in clinic.
I work in the medical field and have been in to Sylvania urgent care several times. The service is great with minimal wait times. I would recommend DR.Mahmoud and his staff to anyone I know
I was SO skeptical about going to an urgent care because I know how long you usual have to wait. NOT HERE! We were in and out quickly, they have really nice nurses and doctors, and we were done in less than 45 minutes!
Excellance and efficiency at its finest!!! I am an RN and was treated there for a recent pneumonia. Fastest recovery I've had thanks to the amazing medical care I received from Dr Mahmoud and his staff!!!
