What a wonderful experience I had while shopping for the perfect engagement ring for my now fiancé. When I started shopping for the perfect ring I knew a little bit about finding quality diamonds (4 C’s). I was looking for something a bit unusual an Old European Cut. David Fairclough’s was able to not only find me the perfect (VVS2) diamond, but it was exactly what I was looking for. They were wonderful through the whole process and I know I have found the jeweler that we will use for every purchase. I recommend them 100% to anyone that wants a personal and knowledgeable jeweler!

Beautiful jewelry but....

They have absolutely beautiful jewelry, great quality and great selection. However they also have some issues. My husband bought my engagement ring here and it's gorgeous, but when it came to my wedding bands we had multiple problems. The first wedding band the diamonds (the go half way around both the engagement and wedding bands) were VERY different sizes. David was wonderful and fixed it for us (though we also discovered they charged us the wrong price), which was fine except that we didn't realize the error until after the ceremony so all the pictures show the flaw. When we ordered the second band (my husbands one year anniversary present to me, so there would be a band on either side of the engagement ring) we had more problems. The band was the wrong size (over a full ring size bigger), the diamonds again were the wrong size, and don't line up right with my other bands. I love their jewelry and David is very nice and knowledgeable but a find jeweler of this quality should not have this many problems, this often! If you are looking for high end jewelry I would also suggest you check out Broer-Freeman.

As a woman I know my fair share about the 4 c's. I have also worked in a jewery store and I have done ALOT of comparison shopping looking for the perfect engagement ring. My boyfrend at the time (now my fiance) wanted to learn about diamonds and also wanted to deal with a local jeweler in case we encountered any problems in the future. David Fairclough met all of our criteria and more! David was extremely knowledgable and took the time to explain and show the differences in diamonds. I am very picky and I wanted the PERFECT setting and diamond. I came into his store with a folder full of the research I had done with copies of website and competitor store prices. David Fairclough has a beatiful selection and I found exactly what I wanted. I had to hold back my tears until we left the building. We went back the next day to pick the ring up and my boyfriend proposed right there in the store. Go ahead and do your homework before you go to David Fairclough. But no one comes even close to what you will get from there. His prices are very fair, he has a huge selection of settings and loose diamonds to choose from, has been in the jewelry business since he was 16, loves his work, and he is a man you can trust. Please don't trust anyone else with something this important!
