Tipp City Veterinary Hospital

My dog started to get sick and not wanting to eat and gagging and refluxing. I was told her heart and lungs were fine and sent home with prescription food and told to give her Pepcid. If she did not eat, Just pick up the food and she would eventually eat it?



She progressed to get weaker and went back and he chose to explain to us there were several tests he could run like a chest x/ray and blood work and ct scan but they were expensive and we did not have over 600.00 bucks to do so.



Our dog was family and we asked if they could allow us to work out payment arrangements to get her help and figure out what was wrong. He said they could not carry us with a bill?



We called back and demanded blood work at least to try and figure out what was wrong and he said he would check electrolytes and Cortisol levels and we did.



He called and shared it looked like Cushings but she did not however have the traditional symptoms of it and such woudl not treat her for her? We asked about not wwanting to eat and gagging still and he said he really did not no what it was and to just go with it for now?



We went for 2nd opion and found a wonderful and compassionate vet who cared more about the animal than money signs.



He examined her and shared her heart rate was fast and irregular and upon her examine stated he felt swelling in her abdomen and drew a complete blood panel asap.



It turns out my beloved girl had liver cancer and it was getting worse rapidly and her liver was swolllen and offered anwsers as to why she could not eat and was refluxing and getting weaker.



We put her down last week and I am still crying.



While this hospital and doctor most likely could not had saved her, If money would not had been most important to them and they had run a simple blood panel, She would not had suffered so long.



I am angry and do not want anyone else to have to go through this either!

The staff is excellent - very friendly and helpful every time I come in. The facility is very clean and beautiful. This is a great place to take your fuzz-faced family.

Excellent Staff and the Veterinary Center is a beautiful facility. My puppy was very well cared for. When you are there make sure and meet George, the most adorable puppy, so loving and playful.
