Hoover Treated Wood Products, founded in 1955, is one of the largest producers of fire-retardant treated wood in the world. It offers a range of products, including Exterior, Fire-X, Pyro-Guard, DuraGuard-ACQ, CCA, CCA Permanent Wood Foundations, Cop-8, Custom Stamps, Dix-I-ply and plywall. Hoover s products are used for making a variety of general construction structures including, exterior decks, balconies, scaffolding, trim, roof sheathing, bed-liners, siding, stairways, floor joists and electrical panels. Its CCA treated wood protects lumber and plywood from decay and termite attack. Its fire retardant formulations are licensed to a select group of licensee treating plants in North America and the United Kingdom. The company is headquartered in Thomson, Ga., and operates offices in Pine Bluff, Ark.; Milford, Va.; Detroit; Winston, Ore.; and in Asia.
