        Located in Thomasville, Ga., Thomasville Eye Center offers an array of services in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Its skilled doctors and friendly staff provide the highest quality care using the most sophisticated technology available. The center uses the latest technique of cataract removal known as phacoemulsification. This technique allows faster recovery and patients can resume normal activities the day after surgery. The surgery takes about 10 minutes and is painless. During cataract surgery the ophthalmologist removes the cloudy natural lens and replaces it with an intraocular lens in order to restore vision. This is a small artificial lens, usually made of silicone or acrylic material, surgically and permanently placed inside the eye. Patients are usually in and out of the center in less than 90 minutes. The center has an anesthetist present to assist patients with sedation so that patients are not anxious before or during the procedure. Its Surgery Center, which is part of the office in Thomasville, is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

        No Customer Service

        Have had several issues with lack of service. Once with a lady name Judy up front and once in the back of the house. They don't seem to feel they have to answer any questions about insurance billing. My doctor seems to be as nice as can be! So I don't understand why the staff isn't as courteous. I would not deal with them if it wasn't for the treatment from Dr Newton.



        Visit at your own risk! Maybe this is what's excepted in Thomasville, but it shouldn't.
