First off they do not return your phone calls like they say they will. They told me they would call me as soon as they received her records from our previous doctor and give me a price. I had to call them a week later. Then, I took my daughter here for her 4 month shots and checkup. The P.A. evaluated her. While she listened to her heart beat she was constantly talking to our daughter trying to get her to smile. I'm not sure how you can properly listen and be talking at the same time. She then proceeded to tell us she had a heart murmur and that her hips were popping and that she would possibly need surgery. My husband and I are first time parents and the way we were approached about the situation was very upsetting. They didn't seem like they cared at all, very rude, and when we would ask more questions about the situation it felt like we were going in circles because they kept giving us the same answer for everything. We didn't even get to see an actual doctor. I would assume that in a serious situation like that they would bring the actual doctor in and not a physician's assistant. They wanted to do an EKG on our little 4 month old but my husband and I decided to call our previous pediatrician and explained to them what was said and the doctor and the nurse sat down went through all of our daughter's records up until birth and couldn't find a thing. They advised us to seek a second opinion. I proceeded to take her to Texas Children's Clinic on FM 2920. The staff is amazing and so friendly. They loved to put a smile on your children's face and make you as a parent happy and as comfortable as possible. They also know when it's time to be serious and do their job as a doctor and/or RN. Dr. LaCour assured us that the heart murmur was completely normal. He went as far as drawing a picture to show me exactly what it was and what was causing it. He said that hip clicks are normal (which is what she had) and that if they made a clunk noise then that's when we should be worried. When he evaluated her he was very thorough and listened. He was very helpful and gave us proper information for our situation and assured us that our little girl is perfectly healthy. Plus, WE ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE A DOCTOR! I will never EVER take my daughter and any of our future children back to Northwoods. If someone is going to diagnose my child it will be a DOCTOR not an assistant. I'm sure the doctors are great at Northwoods but we never got to meet one nor will we be returning.

Dr. Islam and Dr. Sultana are great. We have been taking all of our children here for years.

But I do want to warn you: Do not let your child be seen by SUNANDA KOTAGIRI. She is impersonal and unfocused. My 4 year old had a high fever and cough so we took her in. She proceeded to tell us that she just had a cold and would be fine although she had green mucas. No medicine was prescribed. She then thought it would be a good idea to tell my child that she is getting shots though. This was on 7/3/12. Now my child hates the word Doctor and the thought of going back. She has been up all night screaming that her ear hurts. This "Doctor" doesn't belong in Pediatrics and will give this office a bad name if she is allowed to stay around very long. We are going back in today to see Dr. Sultana. Hopefully this visit is more productive.
