Business Description
Carrabba's Italian Grill was founded in Houston by Johnny Carrabba and Damian Mandola in December 1986. Both men have extensive restaurant experience and belong to one of Houston's most successful restaurant families. Many of the recipes on the restaurant s menu are those of Mandola s mother and sister. Mandola has preserved the Italian authenticity of Carrabba's food by traveling the world in search of unique Italian dishes and by taking numerous trips to his grandparents' native Italy. After many travels to the Houston area, Carrabba's caught the attention of Aussie-themed Outback Steakhouse owners. A joint venture partnership was formed in January 1993. Under the joint partnership, more than 10 more locations were opened in Houston and in Florida. In January 1995, Outback acquired the rights to develop Carrabba's nationwide. There are now more than 200 Carrabba's Italian Grill locations throughout the United States. The restaurant s menu includes a variety of items, such as appetizers, soups and salads, grilled dishes, pasta specialties, Italian classic dishes, wood-fired pizza and Italian desserts. Carrabba's Italian Grill maintains a location in The Woodlands, Texas.

They had great food! I even had a custom dish prepared for that day. Service was great. Very busy but did not feel rushed. Not quite, atmosphere was exciting ! Plan on going back when in town.

Consistent Good Food

I've been going for 8 yrs. Never a bad meal. The prices are right. Managers and staff always helpful. Great wine dinners. Fun atmosphere.

The Standard

This restaurant is the standard for well run national chains. They serve only dinner so they can concentrate on this effort and not spread themselves too thin with service and food quality concerns. I love the ciappino and lentil soup -- I try to order these items at restaurants all over the country and C's stacks up very well against the competition. The service is always fast and professional as the waiters seem to have their s--- together! The manager is always present and seems to have a good handle on the environment. If I am in the mood for a good meal at a reasonable price, C's is the choice more often than not, even with the growing selection of restaurants in The Woodlands area.

Excellent food

One of my favorite restaurants. Great sourdough bread, excellent calamari and a fabulous menu.
