On or about Sept 19th. I called Gulf Coast Yamaha dealer in Texas City and spoke to Greg. I told Greg I had a v star 1100 that I believed needed to have the carbs rebuilt. Since it had been sitting up for a few months. I told him what it was doing and he agreed. He gave me a price of 239.00 labor plus parts. He said parts, if it needs em might run 100.00. The price sounded fair. Since it was my brother's motorcycle, I arranged with my brother to borrow a trailer and get it over there on Sat Sept 24th. I reminded Greg when we got there of our conversation and reconfirmed his labor and parts estimate. He agreed. I reconfirmed the estimate of $239 labor plus parts that might be as much as $100 bringing to the cost to $300-$350. I told him that price was fine as all I had to spend was $400. The following week I get a call from Matt telling me that it needed to have the carbs rebuilt and the total cost is $428.00 with labor being $308.00. I told him that's not the labor rate I was quoted for the job. He said Gregg was off on his labor cost. Since it was a pain in the ass to borrow a trailer and get it their I told him to go ahead and fix it. When my brother picked it up two days later I let Gregg know on the phone I was not happy and I would never use them again. He threatened to charge me for the fuel they put in my brothers tank after draining the old gas out and it was an extra $80 to do that. I said an extra $80 to turn a petcock? He said we had to take the tank off. Now, the thing is, you have to take the tank off anyway to work on the carbs. Of course he wasn't sure about that. These guys are supposed to be the pros right. They know good and well removing the tanks and draining them is part of the job. I feel like, they knew how much I had to spend and they, as I told Greg "squeezed that and a bit more out of me". My advise. Save yourself money and grief and go elsewhere.
I hit a curb on 2-24-2016, made mistake of having repairs done through geico collission at Demontrond in Texas City, TX.I didn't get my car back until 3-31-16.. I did get multiple lame excuses as to why it took over a month.. Can't find parts, parts ordered were incorrect part when they arrive an so on.Gieco was no help. I was treated like crap for inquiring/requesting info on when it would be ready. The Boy that was supposed to be over my repair work was sooooo RUDE...I am sitting out side their "collision" center today, 4/5 waiting for them to move one of the new tires to the front from the back because they put the two new tires they installed on the same side of my car, even I know new tires go to the front and existing tires to the back. DO NOT USE THIS COLLISION CENTER, you will regret it!!!
I have just purchased a new Jeep at Ron Carter about a week ago and loving so far. As for customer service at the dealer, it was fantastic. My salesperson Mr. Chad Martinez helped me in every aspect for financing the vehicle and giving me a great price. I am very pleased to say that Ron Carter has given me great service and hoping to soon buy another vehicle for my Daughter.
POOR SERVICE! This dealership has unreasonable prices compared to other dealers in the area. I live about 6 miles from DeMontrond but had to drive to a different city to get a fair and reasonable deal on a Toyota Camry. To top it off, the salesman misquoted the military discount that I inquired about. He told me it was $500 when indeed, it was $1,500. More importantly, he did not seem interested in listening and trying to figure out what I was explaining to him. I'm not one to argue or debate so I simply left the dealership and went to another one that was willing to work with me on getting the best deal for my money. Needless to say, I purchased a Camry Hybrid XLE fully loaded from a different location in a different city and was very pleased with my purchase.OVERALL: Poor customer service and poor professionalism. I was disappointed because I was hoping deal with a dealership that was near my home. I've been driving Toyota vehicles for years but I would rather go out of my way to make a purchase rather than deal with an unprofessional salesman that doesn't care about the customer.
