Me and my husband came in to eat Breakfast and they changed the menu drastically. The manager stated the change was to make the food faster so there would be no wait time on food...Food still came out late. We asked for another substitution of food and they did not have it and also did not put the original food on the plate--just plain left it out. The manager did not ask if he could substitute anythingelse. This place sucks. We also had a coupon to use as well--the manager stated that they do not honor any coupons or discounts.Service is poor, food was ok and the Manager well he sucks.
My family loves to eat here! The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. We even have a favorite server!
This place is constantly messing up orders, majority of the staff is rude, and they are now charging extra for salsa on drive-thru and takeout orders. Beef fajitas are hit or miss... they are either good or horrible. Majority of everything on the menu is just average. In the beginning, they used to be one of the best places in town (and that's really not saying a lot because there are very few good places to eat in Temple, TX anymore) and the best one of all of the Tres Magueyes restaurants around the area. But the hospitality and quality of food at this location has gone down over the past two years and have just recently hit rock bottom. Even though I have witnessed this change, I still have continued to be a customer and took the good experiences with the bad and I still spent $50 to $100 dollars per week (for me and my family of four either by purchasing breakfast tacos, takeout or dine-in). I have been loyal to Tres Magueyes (on 3rd) since they opened (which was probably around 1999 or 2000) and I have spent a lot of money there. After recent issues, on multiple occasions (and the charging extra for salsa) I was finally convinced that I needed to talk to the owner. I guess retaining a loyal customer (that has been there from the beginning) isn't important anymore. I voiced my concerns and issues and he said he didn't care. I admit... after I was treated like I wasn't important and having the owner tell me that my weekly trips to there establishment wouldn't break his business, I used language that I shouldn't have. But I was pretty upset after being treated like I wasn't important enough for him to attempt to keep me as a customer. It's upsetting that after being a customer for seventeen years, the owner (and the staff for that matter) treated me like my business was never of any importance and they didn't care I they lost my business. All in all, the average food and consistent mistakes with my orders over the years finally got to me. I will not be back. SAD!
We are always well served here...nice romantic environment for taking your sweet heart for a Friday night dinner
Use to be our go to for Mexican food. Chips and salsa were great until we got to bottom of bowl and found a fried roach!! Told manager and she played it off as a burnt chip. Burned chips don't have legs! Was not comped like she said we would be. Will not be going back.
Wait staff didn't seem to know much about menu..Like she started there today. Don't know who thinks this is Mexican food but I've had lots better at fast food restaurants. Beans tasted like they came from a can. Too expensive.Good guacamole.
Food is over priced. Burrito and quesadilla not worth 30 bucks. Definitely do not have them deliver 5 minutes from your place and get your food 1 1/2 hours later. They do not want to impress you to keep you as a customer not worth the time. Very disappointed. If i could post no stars i would.
The service is not great. No one greeted us. The fiod took forever and when the food came out it was nasty. I asked the manager to send it back and I would like to order something else. Then the manager accused me of eating half the food when I took 2 bits and said I had to pay for it. Will never eat there again.
My family just tried this place recently by accident,. I called the wrong place for take out but was aware of the location and knew it was a Mexican Restaurant. We love it and can't stay away. Still haven't tried the other place. LOL!
