Tempe, AZ Coral Point Apartments

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE!!!!! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR STAFF QUALITY. I REPEAT, GO AWAY. THERE IS A MILLION NICER PLACES TO LIVE IN TEMPE...Oh well, where do I start lol? I moved here on December 1st, 2017. My heater and washing machine didn't work for a month. They weren't able to fix it until the end of December. I had some other issues as well, but the main issue I am having and they still didn't fix it till now is due to Onnix neglecting to fix the hot water issue that caused all apartments on the west side of the complex to not have hot water, anyhow they were able to fix the issue on most apartments. However, the hot water issue in my apt and couple of other apts wasn't fixed. When I spoke to the Leasing office again they told me they will try their best, they tried fixing the problem but at the end, they weren't able too. They have lied to me about the temperature of the hot water saying its 102F, and there is nothing that they can do. Well I checked myself and it was at 93F, I called Tempe court and they sent an inspector to check on the issue and the inspector confirmed that the water temp is 93F and that Onnix is violating the code of the city of Tempe. I spoke to them one last time and they didn't offer any compensation to me, they only took $167 from my $1,000 rent... like really? I didn't have a working washing machine and no heater for a month and I still don't have hot water and you are going to take a $167 off only? They also said there is nothing else that they can do, just imagine taking an extremely cold shower at 6AM? I would be shivering and I started hating taking a shower lol, I even stopped going to the gym so I don't shower twice a day... If you want to live a miserable life, then go ahead and come live here :) DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE ONE MONTH FREE RENT OFFER, ITS A TERRIBLE DEAL IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN A HASSLE AND CONSTANT PROBLEMS.

I loved living here.But a simple mistake I made ,they wouldent let me sign another lease.They had turned the water off to repair under ground pipes.I went to take a shower but no water.I forgot to turn the water back to off and when they turned the water back on,it flooded my bath room and the apartment below me.It was a simple mistake.The other problem I had was I was watching a friend of mines pet spider.it was on the floor of the bath room when it flooded and it tiped its cage over and the Brazilian wondering spider was loose in my apartment.About the same time the matinence man and the manager knocked in my door wanting in to check to see how bad it had flooded my bath room.I told them the water never got out of the bath room and that there was a SNAKE loose in my apartment and to come back in 10 minutes after I secure the snake.I didn't want to tell them that a Brazilian wondering spider was loose,one of the most aggressive spiders on earth.Well I found it and I got it back in its cage and called down to the office for them to come back up and take a look,but there minds were made up to kick me out because I had refused them entry into my place,but it was for there protection. There is no law against haveing a pet snake or spider and the next day my friend came back from his trip and picked up his pet spider.But I had lost my home.This is about the best place I've ever lived.The staff and matinence people are very helpful and respectful and the people are who live there are very laid back and happy.Now I wounder the earth,homeless and sad.

I have lived here since December of 2015 and I have nothing but good things to say about Tanglewood Apartments! Management is great! Maintenance is great! So ignore all the other old negative reviews! Tanglewood is getting better everyday, thanks to Jodi and Joe!

Absolutely awful. This is a complex for drug addicts and alcoholics. Music blasting all night, cussing all the time, cockroaches, dirt and garbage on the floor (no one cleans), management doesn't care and refuses to cooperate. It's just not possible to live here. There is noise from 20 big kids riding scooters and breaking things.

Worse decision of my life.We had so many problems with this complex.The Washer and dryer do not work for any units.My mountain bike stolen from here and it was locked up.While on Vacation someone tried to break into my apartment.The water is shut off once a week for a whole day!! My neighbors brought police over very often because they were always fighting (physically and verbally).Oneday, while on my way to school the whole complex was blocked off with 20+ police cars and helicopters overhead looking for dangerous suspects!! Cops yelled at me to get the heck back inside my apartment asap so I did. Someone was shot and KILLED in the jacuzzi by the gym. Our 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor was infested by cockroaches and we had it sprayed and condemned but they would never go away. Our apartment smelled like cig smoke 24/7 because the of previous tenants and because it was not cleaned well before we moved in. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSEL AND DO NOT EVER MOVE HERE!!

The complex is in a convenient location. It's quiet because there is no landscape to maintain. There is not any covered parking, the units are old and beat up appliances, laundry room is not maintained and it's unlocked which homeless to go into, dark outside most of the complex, pool is locked more that unlocked, trash all over, and the picnic tables aren't usable. There are a lot of homeless people digging through the dumpsters. They are trying to fix it up. They want to charge like a 3 or 4 star apartment. There is much to change and there will be a long transition before they get to a point of getting market value for each unit, though they still charge prices as a 4 or 5 star complex. These apartments, even the ones in good condition, should only charge 500 a month for a one bedroom because of all the other conditions tenants have to endure. One of the first things the management company should of did is hire a security company. This place is pretty creepy.

I have left numerous voicemails for maintenance to come fix things never heard back and it's been months. The cabinets are terrible the chipped parts from previous tenants have been painted over with off white paint and if you just so happen to open your cabinet one to many times during your rental period here they will fall off continuously no matter how many times they are fixed, so watch your head and your kids! Before you move in you are showed a beautiful apartment but the one you move in will not I repeat will not look anything like that one besides the cabinets your blinds will be dis colored and all different sizes and some will even be broken but put back up with duct tape holding it up !A lot of robberies here so I had gotten an alarm system but was told that I couldn't have my alarm system sign to warn burglars off up or around my apartment! A alarm system sign is the first warning sign to protect yourself and your family against burglars before they decide to enter your apartment and some one gets hurt or even dies, God forbid! But Finisterra management does not allow you to use such sign to protect you or your family! I have had a maintenance guy sit outside my window at 3am before on his golf cart doing nothing just sitting there right next to my window and at that time I use to crack my window to let a little air flow threw but after seeing him sitting there scared the I don't know what out of me I am a single mom who lives downstairs so you can imagine how unsafe I felt it wasn't until a gentleman walked up and into the next apartment did the maintenance man hurry up and left! Thank god for this individual who scared him away! I wasn't even aware that the maintenance man was even around here at those hours! Well basically please anyone who is thinking about becoming a tenant Think long and hard the rent is way to high for this kind of stuff to be going on the whole apartment complex needs to be re done with new everything for the amount you pay here you can pay some place else with management that cares about their tenants and their safety! It is so much wrong with this place But they said keep the review short and simple. So I kept it as short a I could.I would never ever recommend this place to anyone!! I am scared for I and my families safety so I will not be renewing my lease!

lothes. I brought it to the apartment managers attention and was basically told," It is what it is." So I, a paying tenant, have to leave my place of residence to another facility and wash my family's clothes. Why distribute keys to your tenants for the on-site laundry room, if they can't go and wash clothes as they please. Does that make sense to anybody? I thought having a laundry facility on site at your residence makes it convenient for YOU!I am thoroughly unsatisfied with these apartments. I would not recommend these apartments to any future tenants. The new management DO NOT care about their tenants!

If I could give this place a negative five stars I would. Please dont consider renting from this apartment. The apartment manager is a terrible person who is only concerned with taking your money! Her name is DONNA, when I first moved in, I had just unloaded my furniture, only to find that there was a roach notice tacked on my door... with a scheduled pest control visit for later that week ( i had only moved n hours before) when i asked about why, and if there was a current roach infestation- i was lied to, and told it was preventative maintanance. Within two days i found roaches everywhere. I was sp upset, i had been lied to and now i had to store all of my food safely in the fridge no cabinets could be used for fear i would contaminate my food. I had to have my apartment treated four times. Secondly, my heat and air conditioning have not worked since moving in. My apartment is 82° and my electric bill is sky high, because i have to keep it running anyway. The only time it goes under 80° is at night and early morning if it is running constantly. I woke up to raw sewage comming up from my tub, and also my toilet. It has flooded my bathroom and hallway carpet. There is feces from the ceiling dripping down the wall above my toilet from the upstairs apartment as well. I also have the most disgusting brown carpet that looks like it is atleast fifteen years old, and cannot have my daughter walk around her home without shoes bc her feet get black with filth. There were never any screens on my windows since i have moved in, the outside of the house is constantly filthy, not to mention the pool is green and not properly cleaned ever. Donna has proven fo be rude, non accommodating and greedy. She agrees to allow me to break my lease but refuses to return my security deposit. Nobody should have to live this way, she doesnt care if the apartments are safe, someone moved upstairs and then relocated a week later...she already had new tennants within two days. Shes not interested in keeping a nice apartment, only taking your money. Please save your money! You do not want to live here, you will regret it and feel like a sucker. If she doesnt give me my money ill be on the news voicing my experience since moving here. Whatever you do, do not move to tanglewood apartments in tempe. You deserve a suitable home, and a nice landlord who cares about her tennants more than lining her own pockets

My son and 2 nephews lived here since April 2011. Very comfortable and classy feel.
