A sushi gem in Temecula! After a long day in LA, my family and I were searching for a sushi place for dinner on our way home to SD. I'm very picky where I take down my sushi but when you're craving sushi and it's getting late, I went with the first place that popped up closest to the direction we were driving. Tabu was quick to seat us and took our order, considering how busy they were getting on a Saturday night. The joint was very clean, had a solid bar (sushi + alcohol), and vibe was great! But more importantly, the sushi did not disappoint! We had a few rolls (especially the lemon cilantro roll!), and GTS edamame - to die for! For a Saturday night, they also had a decent amount of specials in their menu!I've been to a few sushi spots in Temecula, but Tabu is by far my favorite!

I came to Temecula for a wine tour, a birthday weekend, stumbled upon this little sushi diamond in the rough. It is definitely a must come! Ask for the sushi chef Rene! Didn't even look at the menu I told him what I wanted, and he delivered!! Sushi chef Rene is on point! Best sushi hands down!
The food is fantastic. The miso and tempura is like what I had in Japan. Husband loves the sushi. The atmosphere is modern but decorated with an oriental flare.
Very very good sushi!! Extremely fresh and the atmosphere is excellent as well as their service and food. Will definitely eat here again in the near future. Perfect for date night or any special day/night!! Eat here and you will not regret it :)
Not only is the sushi amazing but the staff is too! All the sushi chefs are very friendly and creative with the rolls. Phil makes unique combos and makes your dining experience fun. The lemon cilantro is my absolute favorite and a must try! Great happy hour too!
This is my husband's favorite sushi spot. We make sure to come here every time we are in Temecula. The rolls are the perfect size- not too big. I really appreciate the special rolls that don't have rice; it allows me to load up on more of their fresh fish. My husband insists that the salmon Kama is a religious experience. Overall we highly recommend this place!
Well it's our third time here and it was just as great as the other times since June. We arrived a little before 5 pm and it wasn't very busy yet. We sat outside on the patio facing the main artery that goes through Old Town Temecula so we could people watch while we ate. It was beautiful weather today so the seating outside added a very pleasurable feel to the whole dining experience. We had the usuals: Edamame and fried calamari as appetizers and the black saporo for the men. The rolls we got today were philly, hot n spicy and the sexy roll we ordered for the very first time. The consensus was that the hot n spicy was still the favorite for the pescatarians in the group.I had the Yaki Soba noodles since I'm vegetarian and they were fresh and tasty as usual. I love that even though it's a generous portion, it is not heavy, it is not greasy, has the right amount of flavorings without being too salty or spicy, and best part is that I never get stomach aches or heartburn after dinner like I would if ate noodles at some other place. I sure hope they continue to serve decent food like this for a while and don't ruin their menu like other places do over time when quality deteriorates. Our server tonight was Cindy and she was wonderful. Fast friendly beautiful smile and never missed a beat. Drinks kept getting refreshed orders were never messed up or late and the best part was that she signed us up for the rewards program. I was a little upset that none of the other servers over the course of the previous visits ever signed us up for the points. We had already spent $350 for the 2 dinners before so I'm sure those points would have added up. But at least Cindy was kind and attentive enough to sign us up today. Thanks Cindy and we'll be back soon
Have been here a few times and used the Dealpalooza deal, saves a little bit of money. I've sat inside and the most recent time, we sat outside on the patio on an early Friday night. We were just on time for Happy Hour so the beers on tap and the rolls were discounted. Waitress was really nice and gave us some great recommendations. Turned out that the Happy Hour prices were about the same discount as the Dealpalooza deal so we are saving it for the next time. I got the rainbow roll and my friend got the Buster Bust roll and loved the cilantro, lemon and spice of that one. If you have a choice and weather permits, the patio is nice to get the downtown Temecula vibe to people watch.
This is my favorite place to get sushi! I had been here when Tabu first opened and was not impressed with service and wait times. I gave it another try and now I make sure to sit at the bar and have Phil the sushi chef take care of my friends and I! The sushi is fresh and delicious! It puts it above the rest because of Phil, he is kind, detail oriented, and makes sure you have everything you need to enjoy your favorite roll! Tabu offers many daily specials that I always find appealing and a nice happy hour as well!
Chelsea was an amazing server-super nice and helpful. The place is very clean and the overall service was on point. The manager was walking around making sure everything was good. I was pretty impressed and recomend the habibi roll. The calamari was amazing And fresh!! We will definitely be back again.
