I signed a lease for my beautifully well maintained home in January. Since that time, every maintenance call has been answered in a timely manner. They are consistent about answering maintenance calls and a quick resolution.

Their integrity shown thru, their honesty and follow-thru for us was great, very appreciated. Been renting through SDL Real Estate for 4 years. SDL has always beeen very quick to respond to my service calls. Everything so far so good.

STAY AWAY; this company managed 1 property for me in Harveston community. The fees charges for the services they provide are outrageous for the actual service they provide to the owner. The handyman services they employ are not very handy. Many of the so called service calls I was charged for I had to go back and do the jobs over once tenant vacated; so no property manager verification that any of the service calls were being performed properly. SDL placed a family in my property after SDL said them vetting them thoroughly. The tenants they placed in my property placed false previous addresses and false rental references but SDL still cleared them and told me all was good. Once I got the tenant out of my property they left a false forwarding address so I looked back over their application to try and locate them through their references and discovered many obvious issues with the application. I thought I was paying SDL to catch these types of issues. The previous stated landlord that gave a raving reference was actually the tenants’ brother who was living with them in another rental before moving into my property. The other rental addresses were false address. They do not do any home inspections on lease renewals; even after I requested one. There were 8 adults living in our home (lease was for 2 adults and 2 children) that destroyed the inside of the house and the gardener they hired ruined thousands of dollars in landscaping. Once SDL knew we were not happy with their service and would not be using them after tenant lease was up they dropped what little service they were providing to nothing. No help in getting tenant out of house after the tenant broke lease early and refused to leave on agreed upon date. No help (did not even show up) for final walk through of the house, guess they must have known the final walk through was not going to go well. 18,000 dollars in damage to inside of house 7,000 dollars to backyard and landscaping. Every appliance had to be replaced, Stanley Steamer took 7 hours to clean the floors in a 2000 sq. foot house. That was just the floors, still had to rip out all the carpet, could not clean or get the smell out.

When tenant left false forwarding address upon leaving SDL did nothing to help us locate the tenant. Owner had to pay a Skip Trace Company to find tenant to send list of damages to. They ended up only a few miles from rental. There is no way that a property manager should have every allowed a property to get in the state that SDL allowed my property to get into. My property was one of the model homes in Harveston, very well kept before SDL started to manage the property. All the damage did not occur overnight, the damage to my property took a long time to occur and would have been discovered by an engaged property manager long before it got to the state it did. When I asked why no inspection had been done as I requested during lease renewals, the answer from SDL was the tenants always paid on time in cash they had no reason to believe anything was wrong, the property owners request for a walk through inspection was ignored but they sure got their several hundred dollar lease renewal fee. Staff was constantly unresponsive to owner request, I had to repeatedly call SDL for any information on my property. If you value your investment property find another company that will show you and your property the respect it deserves. After 2 years and 9 months of managing 1 property for me I had to spend 25,000 dollars in repairs after the tenant finally vacated my property. You would be better off managing your property yourself than turning it over to SDL. Do some research into local property management companies and do an interview with them before allowing them to manage an investment worth a few hundred thousand dollars. Do not make the same mistake I did in choosing SDL.

Good service and helpful. Respond quickly to my questions and any maintenance issue I may have, even though it has only been two or three times.

As an absentee owner of 3 investment properties in Temecula, I entrust SDL Property Management with all aspects of my properties. They advertise, fill vacancies, screen tenants, handle repairs and maintenance, and provide detailed accounting. The staff at SDL is always available and courteous. I have had a great experience with everyone; especially JR. SDL has earned my trust. They do what they say and say what they do. The last thing I want to do is worry about my properties and tenants, with SDL, I don’t.

I wish I could buy another house to go through the process with SDL Real Estate again. It was such a pleasure working with them, and they really got excited with me as the purchase was confirmed. Will recommend to all my family and friends.

Great Management Company. I worked with SDL for a long time and they helped me turn my rental property around. It sat vacant for months under my former management company, and they managed to rent it out during the first week under them. I should have made the switch sooner. As an out of town owner - their hands on day to day attention was greatly appreciated. They were honest and hard working.
