Fillings
Teeth are usually filled with a material called composite resin, which is designed to look and feel like your natural teeth. After the removal of all decay, the tooth is conditioned, a bonding layer is placed and the composite resin layered and cured. Unlike Silver Amalgam fillings, the tooth preparation is often times minimal, there is no mercury, they have similar longevity, and the appearance is far superior.
Resin Composite
Many people get cavities and broken teeth. To treat them, we offer fillings. Most people prefer to use composite resin because it looks like your normal teeth, though there are other options if you prefer. Composite resin takes a little longer because we have to apply it one layer at a time. We also need to use a special light to harden the area around the filling.
Veneers
Veneers are thin shells intended to cover the front side of teeth to hide stains, chips, decay, or irregularities. A dental technician uses a model created by a dentist to make a custom shell out of specials materials.
Crowns
Here at the office of Paul Mundl, DDS, we are proud to offer porcelain crowns and caps for our patients.
Bridges
Bridges can be removable or fixed. Removable bridges can be taken out and cleaned by patients, whereas fixed bridges have to be removed by a dentist. Root Canal Treatment
Endodontics is a dental specialty, dealing with the dental pulp. When the dental pulp is infected or diseased, it is important to perform treatment in order to have healthy teeth and a healthy mouth.

Deep Cleaning
Prior to treatment, there will be a consultation where the dentist will outline the exact procedure. On treatment day, a deep cleaning (prophylaxis) will be performed to rid the teeth of any debris and plaque. Then, special eyewear will be provided to protect the eyes from the halide light, and splashguards to protect the clothing from the bleaching agent.

Dentures
Bridges can solve the issue of missing teeth. Similar to dentures, bridges replace gaps in your smile with artificial teeth. Bridges can be made from a variety of materials including porcelain, gold, and alloys.

General Dentistry
Dr. Mundl graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in biology and completed his Dental training at the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry in New York City. While at NYU, Dr. Mundl graduated in the top percent of his class and received many awards and recognition for his work. What’s more, he continued his education by completing a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Southern California (USC). He continues his education by focusing on classes in cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and implant dentistry, surpassing the state requirement of 50 hours.
