Update: My son has been going to this daycare center for over 4 years now. We've had ups and downs in our personal life and the staff has always been helpful in helping us deal with these when they cross over to daycare. They are very supportive and willing to make adjustments as needed. My son has and continues to struggle with interpersonal relationships and the staff has worked with us on trying to get these things under control. I have moved out of the area for this daycare and kept him at this facility because the staff cares about my son as much as I do and show it in the way they help him and me. I trust them with my child completely. I can't imagine ever going to a different daycare. The security at this facility is nice and helps keep your mind at ease. They have never given my son to someone not on the list and when someone new does show up they always check the ID of that person. You need a security code to get in the building and a release button to get out that is high enough on the wall that little ones can't run out without adult help. They pick up and drop off to quite a few schools in the area which makes things so much easier for the working parent. My son often finishes his homework at Lit'l Scholars with the help of the teachers as needed. He's excited to come home with time to play instead of having to do homework at a late hour. They offer good meals and snacks. I am always confident my son is getting the best nutrition possible. The cook always makes sure the kids are fed. There have been times I've picked up my son at snack time and she makes his snack portable so he can take it with him.The summer program at Lit'l Scholars is amazing. My son has at least one field trip every week, sometimes two. They spend a week focused on one topic and activities are based on those topics. Some past topics have been dinosaurs and space. They use a local rec center's pool and go to a local park on a regular basis. My son has learned so much from these trips. The best part? There is no extra cost for these programs! At the beginning of the last school year the director organized a "Back to School Fundraiser" to make sure every child went to school with the things they needed like clothes, shoes, backpacks and various school supplies. They collected donations and matched them with the requests of the students. It was kept within the network of the clients at Lit'l Scholars and such a wonderful and helpful program. They've done similiar things around the holidays.A photographer comes twice a year and takes the most amazing pictures at a very discounted rate. I look forward to her visits and so does my son. There have been times when I worried about the turnover at Lit'l Scholars but the main teachers are the generally the same and they help the children get used to a new personality. The teachers are very good and trained in the proper techniques for helping children learn and grow.In short, I will keep my son in this daycare until he no longer needs before and after school care, regardless of where in the valley we live. They are wonderful people. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.
This is the best place to take your kids!! We were with another daycare center that didn't take good care of our oldest child like we would have. Litl Scholars was recommended to us by a friend. The difference was night and day. We could tell that the level of learning my daughter was now receiving was head and shoulders above the other daycare. We have been taking our oldest to Litl Scholars for 6 years. We have been taking our youngest there since the day she was born and she is almost 5. They take care of our kids just like we would ourselves. They are helpful in every avenue of the kids life. They help with potty training to make it a seemless transition from home to daycare. They listen to any suggestions you have and will accomodate where ever they can. They offer multipe credits to help make they enrollment affordable. Litl scholars has recently been accredited from granite school district to insititute the same pre-school curriculum. Their educational curriculum includes science, math, reading, writing etc. My oldest was a head when ready to go to kindergarten. My youngest is already reading at a kindergarten to first grade level. Litl Scholars has been a blessing to my family. My kids have made lasting friendships with the teachers and other kids. I love the fact that they call the teachers Mrs, Mr or Miss. I feel it shows a respect that our kids need to learn. If you are concerned about summer time.....Don't. Litl Scholars has a wonderful summer program. They have many educational and fun activities and field trips for the kids. They also have extra activites during the whole year to give your kids a head start or additional training in dance and karate classes. I feel that Litl Scholars is not just here to babysit but they are educating my children and teaching them discipline and respect. My kids love their daycare.
