Wish I could give it a lower rating other than one star! I loved when this place opened, couldn’t wait to go. Last two times I’ve got carry out my order has been wrong! Shouldn’t be that hard when there is no one in the restaurant, gotta love calling back to tell them they messed up and they say “well you need to bring the food back” well no crap! I’m coming back to get it remade the right way. So go back to get the food and it wasn’t remade. Had to sit there and wait while they ask me three times what I really wanted. Only to get home and get stale old chicken! Forever lost a long time customer! Oh and the butter on the bread, asked for a manager and no one showed up, turns out the manager was helping us he whole time and never introduced herself, OH! But our names are in the book so we can get the same crappy thing that we had so much problems with before. Need to step up your service- I’ll go to the one on telegraph before I come back here again!
No care or pride put in their food. Omelets had raw veggies and pieces of meat thrown inside folded over scrambled eggs with a piece of uncooked cheese thrown on top, with hardly any cheese in middle. Sorriest omelet and breakfast husband and I ever had. Server did not check back or refill coffee in timely manner. Quality of food and service consistently going downhill.
Very pleased with the service, food and price after feeding group of 7. Friendly owner and staff. Best biscuit and gravy around!
It's hard to find a Coney that is consistent, clean with staff that's always curtious. My family and I absolutely love this place! High recommend for a delicious, inexpensive bite to eat!
Food is more costly than many of the other coney islands, it is mediocre tasting, the place looks like it has not been updated since the 70's, one of the staff got rude with me which is not impressive...I won't be going back...taking my hard earned money where service is professional and the food is worth the money!
Don't go here if you or your loved one has food allergies. The waitstaff will tell you food is safe when it's not and then blame you if you or your loved one has an allergic reaction. Their reaction to the little boy who got deathly ill--after they were asked by his mom about the food and told their order was safe--was so awful. Many people have food allergies these days. A hateful attitude is so uncalled for: allergy sufferers have enough problems. This restaurant is run and staffed by people who don't get it and have no caring or empathy for others. NO ONE should eat here.
I was overcharged at this establishment. When I went in 2 days later to ask why my bank statement stated something higher than what I wrote on my receipt they threw me out. I assume the waitress tipped herself more than my 20%. That's just not good business. An owner should never scream a customer out into a parking lot, how shameful. Check your bank statement if you pay with a card, these people aren't honest.
I'm a former cook at this place. Let's first start that this isn't a retaliation because I got fired. I got fed up and walked out. 2 MONTHS AGO. This statement isn't because I want to put them on "blast" I still visit local bars in the area therefore I still see some of BLB's customers. In the past couple weeks I've had conversations with their customers that say they won't eat there anymore because they got sick. Well let me tell you some of the reasons. I've seen some pretty nasty things go on and when I brought it to the attention of the manager and owner after a couple weeks or so I was labels as a "tattle tail". I with my own eyes have seen the day shift cook drop bacon, chicken wings, parts of quesidillas, even burgers and buns dropped on the floor and served to a customer. The bacon and chicken wings were just dropped back in the fryer for a few seconds and said "it's ok 350° grease will kill anything." Ha. They don't even turn the fryer up to 350° they serve old rotten food too
My fiancé n I were looking for a friendly bar in that area, as we eat out n have drinks several times a week. We had been frequenting this bar becuz the food was decent n the price for a bottle or bucket of beer was good. After a while, a month or so, we just decided for as good of tippers as we are n going in a few times a week, we should feel welcomed. We never did. They just weren't very friendly. We have found a few bars we feel at home n are very friendly, which are Dunleavys in Allen Pk and Cheryl at the R&R Rendevous on Ecorse Rd in Taylor. Hopefully the owner or manager will see this review n train their staff to be welcoming n friendly cuz we really wanted to love this bar n location.
Very clean and affordable, more importantly excellent food.I have had breakfast , lunch, and dinner never disappointed .
