Yesterday late morning we went to George's Breakfast Station 600 S Pinellas Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 Corner of MLK and Alternate 19 (S Pinellas Avenue) We ordered our food and the waitress brought the drinks. We noticed the glass was not that clean and we looked around and the restaurant was far from clean but we figured we would see what the food was like when we got it. The waitress brought the food and we just started eating when we looked down at the floor and noticed a cockroach walking right by our table!! We got up and explained we cannot eat this after seeing that. The owner came out from the back and said he sprays every month. Upon talking to him at the register we could see in the kitchen. It was disgusting the floors were black even though it appeared to be light color tiles back there. There were food on the floor under shelves that appeared to be there a while without being cleaned up. The counters were dirty and old food stuck to it. This place should not be open in this condition. Please investigate this place and bring this to light for people that do not realize what they are eating here.
Great place, very quaint, with old world atmosphere, kinda reminded me of Old Chicago. The food was fantastic, and not expensive at all. The service was "on time " and friendly. The owners were friendly too, even came to talk to us. Made us feel like we were a somebody instead of just a customer. Will definitely go back .
I heard about this place from a friend that golfed at Wentworth so I came out for dinner one night with some friends. I was worried that it would be stuffy because it's at a nice golf course but it's actually a pretty cool place. They have a bar and hightop seating but also a private area if you had a larger group and cozy booths for more of a private feel or families that all have views of tv's if you want to watch games. Good food, reasonable prices and friendly considerate staff. I heard they have live music Friday nights too so I'll be back for that.
