I moved to Tampa in 1986 and at that time, I had been in the beauty industry since 1971 as a leading stylist and makeup artist from Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Of course the first thing I started looking for was a nail tech to do my nails and I spotted this girl's nail from across the room and went flying over the inspect her nails and then to ask where??? Where??? She told me and Tonya has been taking care of my nail care needs for all these years... My very first written review of her and her salon was when I worked part time as a social columnist for "The Brandon and Temple Terrace News". Of course the news was SPECTACULAR!!! Making long stories longer, if you just simple want your nails done go some where else, but if you want to join a salon for THE BEST NAILS EVER and a place you begin to just want to hang out at, then it is your duty and responsibility to yourself to visit Tonya's today!!! I been going to this salon for 4 years I had experiences with everyone getting pedicures, eyelashes, waxing, gel nails. Heres who I recommend an recommend not to got to.. Let's start with table #10 he very fast, good but likes to make is own prices, #5 she makes her own prices up too but not so good, Katey and fong very sweet girls and handle business with the eyebrow and eyelashes..the lady with the crazy eyebrows I'd stay away from, #8 has an attitude but she pretty good, the big guy with the tattoos is good fast and Keeps it real, but hardly ever works. For the rest of them still haven't seen wat they can do yet although the salon stays busy. Oo and the reception lady in the front has bad customer service skils which she is getting better on..
I was recommended to R&C Barber & Nails Spa by a friend. I'm glad that I took the advice and went. The shop has a great atmosphere I felt just like family going in there. I went to Rosyn, one of the owners, to get a new set of nails and a facial. Her designs are AMAZING! She has so many different options to choose from as far as designs. I love the fact that I have a design that I have not seen on anyone else. She definitely has a client for life now. The facial was enjoyable and left my skin refreshed! I also found out that she does permanent make up and waxing. I can't wait for my next appointment! Even if you do not get nails she also does manicures and they also have a tech that will do pedicures as well!
I have been a customer for 4 months now. My Mother-in-law lives in West Chase and she told me about the salon. I like this salon in particular because they are very clean. My sister got a fungus a long time ago at another salon so I'm really careful with salon sanitation. This place was very clean I notice they discard the puma stone and foot brush after every customer (unlike other places that simply wash and reuse these products). They also offered me a personal manicure/pedicure kit to keep at the salon for FREE. The people in the salon are really friendly and I like how the manager comes around and ask me if I am satisfy with the service.
I have been coming to Happy Nails for a number of years and I am extremely pleased with how accomodating both the owner Tweety and her sister Tao have been. I call them my "glam fairies". The service is professional, affordable, and machines/equipment extremely well-maintained (for those of you germaphobes). The overall atmosphere is very quaint and relaxing surrounded by great comaraderie amongst clients and staff. Everyone is very receptive to meeting your individual needs as long as it's done in the way you would like to be treated with exceptional follow-through. I give great Kudos to this small and thriving business!
I have been going to this salon 3 times a month for the past 1 1/2 years. I have nail refills every other week and a pedicure every month. I work around the corner and come on my lunch hour so I always make an appointment. Because of work I have been occasionally late but never later than 5 to 10 minutes. I had an appointment on Friday for a pedicure at 1:30. I was tied up on the phones at work and showed up at 1:35. I was told they took someone else because I was late. If this is the way they treat loyal customers, I recommend you go elsewhere.
First time customer, but I'm sure I will be back. The customer service was amazing, starting with the receptionist and of course the nail tech as well. She did an amazing job at creating the nails I wanted. Not only did she do a great job on the art but she was also talkative and very nice. She went beyond my expectations and I am greatly pleased with my nails. This place is definitely a go to, you won't be disappointed.
I love love love it at the nail trap. I've been going consistently since finding out their prices aren't sky high just because they're located inside the mall. I like coffin shaped and stiletto shaped nails which not many nail techs have mastered and they perfect it everytime at the nail trap! Service is good but don't go on the weekend and expect to not to wait because everyone goes there... That's how good they are!
I had a great experience today at K Nails & Spa. I usually get my gel manicure at another salon in the city that specializes in gel and nail art, but decided to try a new place. I am so glad that I found K Nails & Spa! Sometimes change is good. :) My lady is very meticulous and precise in her skill. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is great. Definitely going back...already made my next appointment!
