I went in and asked them to do ombre. After three hours, my hair turned out to be two colors: dark roots and orange. I had to leave to go to class, but expressed that I wasn't happy with my hair. I paid the $200, and the next day called the salon to ask them to refund half of my money, as my hair did not turn out as I had asked. They refused, and said I could come in and they would redo it for free. I was too scared to go back and spend more time (and more tip money) to likely be disappointed again. I said I would go elsewhere, and the receptionist said, "OK, that's your choice." Ten minutes later, they called me back to say they would "not only redo it for free, but give me 25% off a future service." Why would I want a discount on a future service when I have no intention of returning because I don't want orange hair? I declined, and expressed again that I'd like half of my money back. I was told, "It is a service. We won't refund any money because your hair isn't a product; we only have so much control over how the hair turns out. Your stylist is great so we don't know what the problem is." So much for the customer always being right. After washing my hair the next day, my old highlights from 4 months ago actually started to show again! So I wasted $200, and went to another salon that actually understood the concept of ombre. The hairstylist at the other salon said, "Your hair is orange. We will fix it." And she did. Don't go to Tribeca if you want anything more than a trim, because a complex process like ombre is too difficult for them to achieve, and you will waste money and be refused a refund.

The place looks cheap and out of style.
I had a bad experience with Christine , who was recently promoted? I had asked for the previous color that I used at the salon, however, she either mixed it wrong or used the wrong color as it did not match at all . She charged extra for highlights but I can barely see them. I usually never write reviews, but feel I need to warn future customers!
lastly, during the shampooing, they are supposed to massage the scalp, but she used limp hands, felt like fish hands, afterwards I was not satisfied with scalp massage, i feel like i was over charge

I had a great experience at this salon. For a basic haircut they gave me a consultation where I felt like the stylist was really listening to me, a wash plus scalp massage, a cut, and a style. People around the whole salon kept asking me if I wanted a drink or if they could get me anything. The stylist gave me a trendy cut that is super easy to take care of. She was very receptive of my opinion and she asked me questions about the cut during the whole process. The price of your cut depends on what level the stylist is at so the fee can be very reasonable. My stylist was a mid range rank. I will definitely be making another appointment soon!

I started coming to Tribeca almost a year ago. I had been looking for a permanent stylist and had experienced a lot of stylists that didn't listen to what I wanted, and who have butchered my hair and left me in tears.
I discovered Tribeca through a recommendation of a friend and I will not go anywhere else f4rom now on. You get what you pay for at cheaper salons with brassy color and crappy cuts. At Tribeca, I walk in to and am always greeted promptly with a beverage. The wait is always short to see my stylist: her name is Deborah and she is simply amazing. She listens to what I want to do but can temper it with her extensive knowledge and experience about my hair type and what will and will not work for my hair. I love it here. The price is a little steep but completely worth it knowing I have a stylist I can trust to make me look fabulous every time.

I have been going to Chelsea who works in their Kennedy location. I have naturally dirty blonde hair and i have done highlights and lowlights for about 2 years with her. She always does EXACTLY what I ask and i have never once been disatisfied. Last time I was there, we went super dark brown and it came out great. I am in the process of going back to blonde and i highly reccommend her for anyone with naturally lighter hair who likes to do highlights and/or low lights!

Kelly has a natural talent for recommending the right shade, and applying the color in a way that is seamless so that it looks natural. What more could you ask for? I have been to salons that charge 3 times what she charges and her level of skill is an absolute bargain!

I have been to almost every salon on this side of Tampa Bay and have finally found Tribeca to be the place that I can say consistently delivers great service and experience. AFter I get my hair done by Steven, I always get noticed. The cut and color are always what I wanted and the price is right.
