New House rep contracted with me to provide document and remote closing services. Their performance issues created delays then they short paid me. Scheduled June 30th ,2014 3pm file # ****40554 split signing for 2 locations in 2 different counties. New House did not deliver the docs to me in time to print and make the first app't. They also held me up with replacement docs preventing the 1st reschedule from happening. They knew these locations required lengthy drive times and both signers were working so had limited availability. More importantly no one told me or the signers there was a TIME deadline they wanted the fax back by! The scheduler had me on the phone just before 6pm and knew I was finishing another job then meeting with her signerss. She never said a word about the deadline but sent an email to my office later cancelling. Which I got AFTER the job was completed and the fax ready to go. I have multiple emails and phone call records substantiating the time issues created by New House. I have emails stating they would pay me half now then give me the reschedule. They have failed to honor both promises. Even though I have provided several of the emails and details about these issues to Andrea she is more concerned with their failure to meet their sales goal. Even though they are the reasons the split signing did not happen as hoped for Andrea and Kellie prefer to dock my pay in disregard of our agreement and in spite of their performance and lack of communication failures.
Our realtor failed us in our home buying process. We called New House Title looking for help and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND. They were able to provide us answers and assistance that probably helped us to keep our loan from timing out. Phone calls are always returned, emails always responded to quickly. And customer service was so unexpected and welcome that it made this horrendous process seem not so bad. I would recommend this business to anyone!! I cannot thank them enough for their help in this process!
After my experience, and reading the reviews on here, I am convinced that anyone who gave more than 1 star works for New House Title!! First they tell us that they are waiting on the lender to approve the HUD, then we find out that they had never sent it and that the closer was still working on it! So we ended up closing 6 hours late, which caused me to miss work that evening! We were then told while waiting on keys, with a painting crew on standby, that they were waiting on the lender to send funds. I called my lender, she called with me on conference, and we find out that they had received funds yesterday. I don't want to say that the entire company is like this, but the people we have dealt with were all rude and apparently rather incompetent. They did not treat us with respect and were not helpful at all. My advice, if you have a choice of title companies, use someone else!

This company does not communicate and they do not care at all about the buyers when representing the banks on a foreclosure property. They are rude and do not make any effort to make buying a home a good experience. If you can avoid using them I highly recommend doing what ever it takes to stay as far away from these people as possible!

Comments received from an agent:
I really like working with New House Title and appreciate the excellent communication, responsive and pro-active approach to getting lien searches and HOA estoppels quickly and on time, as well as the overall great attitudes and professionalism with which our transactions are being handled. Great big pat on the back! Keep up the great work!

One of the worst companies I`ve ever had to deal with! Nobody knows what they are doing. They are just keep promising and promising but nothing gets done! They were just emailing with the agent talking about us - the buyer - being the dumb, because we don`t know how foreclosures are working. That`s why I kept asking them about it, but never got a normal answer. Only thing I got ""we do our best"".. Really?
After 3 months I said enough and hired a lawyer. We closed on the house in 1 week!
If you have no other chance and has to go through these people, hire a lawyer ASAP!

They have a neat little trick at New House Title. They will give you the tax credit up to the date you purchase using the Homestead tax rate. But once a house is in foreclosure the county no longer will use that rate so you (the purchaser) are left to pay the adjusted rate for the whole year. Here is my example: The title company gave me approximately $1000 for 261 days they owned it. I got my tax bill and I owe $1250 for 104 days of ownership. The county will tell you take it up with the title company:the title company will blame your buying agent and you as the little guy will be stuck. IF YOU BUY A FORECLOSED HOUSE MAKE SURE THEY CREDIT YOU AT THE TAX RATE WITHOUT HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION.

If only there were a way to give only a fraction of a star! We had everything they wanted days in advance, and they weren't ready on the closing date.
They are now still not ready, we have had to file a petition to extend, and they are demanding that we close on Thursday, not a day sooner or later! What did these guys do with Fannie Mae to earn an exclusive contract?!!!
There's no use in complaining to them. They don't care; they have their contract. Complain to Fannie Mae? Yeah, right! Try complaining to the post office about lost mail and you'll have an idea what that's like.
Freakin' government favoritism!!!

This company has very bad service. Delays, delays, delays, delays for s simple cash closing.
I had to send them the SAME stuff 4 times before they realized this.
How can a business like this get title work from Fannie Mae? Something smells fishy.
If I buy another property and am required to use this company, I will CANCEL the sale.

As a realtor I have had to deal with some horrible title companies but this one definetely tops the list. They try to make you jump through hoops on the day of the closing, loose your documents, and talk to you like they are gods gift to real estate. Its a shame that Fannie Mae deals with them, they shoul shift their business else where. I know I will never work with them if I dont have to.

Being a broker in the buisness for over 20 years, I have dealt with many title companies. This is the absolute worst. I've had to suffer through many closings with them and they screwed up every single one. One I had to deal with a manager named William. Very rude and does not know crap about real estate closings. Then it got worse when my next transaction I had to deal with a manager named Jeff. Total incompetence! Most recently I had to deal with a manager named Valerie. Where the heck do they find these people? Our office has had to ask them to fix our address 8 times and they still can't get it right so we never get our commission checks until a month after closing. They don't return phone calls or emails, can't spell names correctly, hold onto the recordings for over 6 months before recording. How they are still in businss I have no idea. Stay away! Run! Pay extra money to close somewhere else! Unless you like bad service and complete incompetence!

I'm still wating on this company to get my closing done this company is the worst and the rudest company in tampa florida if you ever buy a house don't ever go to this company specialy if you are working with Mrs Diane DeCrane she is the rudest one and the worst one off all of the staff in that office. I guess the banks who use this company for their close they use them because they are really cheap and because they are chep that why they are so unprofessional... Very disappointed.

I thought I would spend 5 mins signing up and informing the public on the terrible service this company provide.
The lack of communication is unforgiveable. I am amazed they are given business and wonder to myself why that is. The banks who use this company must have there reasons. ..

As 1st time home buyers we are purchasing a foreclosed home and made the mistake of going with the bank's Tittle Company which happens to be this terrible company. If I would do it all again, I would have paid the extra money to chose my own title company and would probably already have moved into my new home and closed a LONG TIME AGO! We just received a third extension request from this title company and will probably be out on the street before we can move into our new home. We were supposed to have initially closed 28 days ago and every time the closing day rolls around they blame somebody else for not being able to close on time. However, we have checked with the other people that they blame to find out they were initially responsible for not sending the required documentation on time. I do not trust their employees who do not care to respond to your emails, do not care if you have to live on the street due to their delays and who are evasive in their responses to your emails.

I'm not sure if they are lazy or uneducated in their business or just plain don't care. I'm with the person about the waiting, and the other person with the no communication or response from them. Everyone has email, they just don't respond with any information if they respond at all. My real estate agent has worked with them before. When she heard the name of the title company she hoped it was the one in Ocala. She said the Tampa branch was a nightmare. Sure enough, we are dealing with the Tampa branch. Still waiting. No problems on our end, just waiting for New House Title Company in Tampa. I was supposed to close today. I have no idea when or if I will ever close.

Question: How long does it take to close a cash transaction with no contingencies?
Answer: I don't know. So far it's been about 45 days. We are almost one week past the closing date and still no indication as to when we will close this deal. I hope it happens in my lifetime.
I have been involved in many, many real estate transactions over my career and this is my worst experience with a title company. With the exception of one individual that takes pride in his job, I have had nothing but poor experiences so far. Poor communication, bad attitude, no urgency with respect to timelines, and excuses, excuses, excuses! If I hear about one more snow storm in Texas that caused FHLMC to close for the day, I'm going to pull my hair out!!!

This company do not care, are rude and should not be in this business. Not only do they not know how to complete simple transactions, they DO BLAME EVERYONE ELSE.
What they do is not that complicated and this includes Foreclosures.
Buyers pick your Title company with care.
DONT USE NEW HOUSE TITLE and good luck if you do. You will need it.

I would have to say that this is the worst title company I have ever had to work with in all my years in Real Estate. They never communicate with anyone, don't return calls or emails and do things at there own time (always after the closing date). They sent closing papers at 4:45pm and then told us it was not there problem that the closing papers did not get in the overnight mail to them the same day. Closing was suppose to happen at 3:30 not 5pm. How are papers to be printed, signed and dropped in an over night box within 45 min? Not possible. My buyers had to wait all weekend to gain access to their home because this title company is so bad. They blame everyone but themselves.s Tried telling me it was the mobile closers (that they picked ) fault the papers did not get back to them in time. Just one more reason banks should allow local title companies to close REO properties.
