Hillsborough Kids is a nonprofit organization that ensures the safety and permanency of more than 3,200 abused and neglected children. It is a community-based care network that is funded by the Florida Department of Children and Families. The organization provides child abuse prevention and family crisis intervention and preservation solutions. Hillsborough Kids offers case and foster and residential care management services. It provides direct case management services for children and their families through a network of various agencies, including the Children's Home Society of Florida, Camelot Community Care and The Children's Home. The organization is responsible for several administrative services, such as financial management, contract oversight and quality assurance. Hillsborough Kids finalizes over 400 adoption cases annually. It has received the Angels in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
