The owner of this place really needs to lighten up and learn customer service skills especially with children. My family and I went into your shop to get ice cream and the owner rudely told me to not let my kids touch the chocolates and candy....mind you everything was in wrappers. He looked at my son like he had a disease. If you don't want people, let alone kids, to touch your candy in wrappers then don't put it out! This is not the first time I have had him to this to my kids, nor is it the first time I have seen him do this to other people's kids. He needs to think about who a big chunk of his customers are...people who go in with kids! Mind you most people that shop there are more than likely financially set and can spend money there on expensive candy for their kids so he needs to think about how he treats all of his customers. An occasional smile instead of the constant stink face would be nice. I don't believe we will be frequenting your shop anymore....all thanks to the owner. The employees are great however the owner is impossible. Maybe he should stay in the back and make chocolates and let his employees run the show with customers.

Best Chocolate In Tampa

I love this place! My first time going was just the other day and I'm amazed at how this place hasn't become more well known. I'm from San Francisco where there is almost a chocolate store on every street corner and I'm surprised to see there is only a couple in Tampa. The interior is not that well decorated or cluttered to say the least and you can tell the business might be struggling due to their location but that is something you can look past because the product they have is amazing! It's some of the best chocolate I've tasted in a long time. The staff was nice and greeted me as soon as I entered and even told me about special offers via e-mail. This place is a place to stop by if you're in Tampa. And to respond to the other reviewer, I've used Groupons before, many times and why did you wait for the last minutes of the Groupon? Most Groupon offers give you at least four months if not more so I'm sorry but it sounds like it's kinda your fault for waiting to the last minute. Great Place, Must Try!

used to love it, no longer

Let me just say that I really loved this place. My kids loved it. I can't go here anymore, because of the bad experience we had, which makes the whole situation worse. We purchased a Groupon a few months ago. We hadn't been since July's Fresh Market in Hyde Park, when we forgot to bring our Groupon with us and for some reason we couldn't pull it up on my big deal, we'll remember it next time. Well, we tried to use it this week, but first there was a sign on the door saying that they were closed due to electrical problems. Then my husband went after work yesterday, the day the Groupon expired, and they were closed at 6:45 pm (normal hours are until 9) with a sign on the door still saying they were having electrical problems. I emailed the store immediately to make sure, once their electrical issues were worked out, they would redeem the Groupons for a day or so longer. I got an email explaining they closed early because they had run out of candy since so many people tried to redeem their Groupon on the last day. I asked again if the Groupon could be redeemed today (the day after expiration) since they had issues meeting the demand and had been closed during the week of expiration, and the response was brief: ""The Groupon has expired"". My husband called, thinking it must be a miscommunication, and the guy said ""Well, you should have redeemed it 6 months ago. Too bad. It's expired."" Groupon was wonderful and refunded us what we paid, but it's not the money. It's the fact that we are loyal customers of this place. I was looking forward to doing a candy class with my son (one of the discounts on the Groupon). We loved stopping by after the Hyde Park Fresh Market or painting pottery next door. Despite the fact that their location is in the middle of a struggling shopping center and parking can be a pain, we liked to go there and we recommended it to friends. To be treated so abruptly and inconsiderately was disappointing. We just did not know it was that kind of place and that the ownership was this kind of person. Well, now we know. And we won't be back. There are other candy stores. We will find another.
